On Shenavall- Achneigie- Beinn a'Chlaidheimh- Sgurr Ban- Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair- Beinn Tarsuinn- Shenavall circuit, with brother Pete. A nice little table topped ridge curving above its NW corrie was a highlight after some hard labour most of the way from Sgurr Ban. Contoured below Meall Garbh. The Ma summit in cloud. An obvious broad ridge W of Coire an Fhraoich gave good going. Long walk back to Shenavall where we arrived at 2155 hrs (we had delayed our start with doubtful weather early morning).pwheeler24/05/2000

Not 100% sure of the date. Spent a day walking into Ben Eighe between Liatach and Ben Eighe round to lochan at the back. Found boots very sore so purchased a new pair in the shop at Kinlochewe where we were staying in the bunkhouse at the hotel. Walked in through Abhainn Bruachaig and Kinlochewe forest to shores of Lochan Fada where we wild camped. Very cold night and woke to find our tents buried in snow. Spent the day wandering along Lochan Fada and up Neinn Tarsuinn. The snow field at the top looked very avalanche prone, dissuaded the group from zig zagging it! Great views up to An Teallach and over to Slioch. Back to tents for another overnighter and walked out down Gleann Bianasdail. Saw Golden Eagles and was scared by low flying Tornado jet at the top of the Gleann. With Chris Few, and 2 others from Norpop.Mark T01/03/1998

After camping at Loch Glascarnoch. With three friends. My car was positioned where A832 road crosses Dundonnell River. We left the road near Loch a Bhraoin at 06:35. We walked along path beside Loch a Braoin, passing Lochivraon bothy. Then to Bealch na Croise and col between Beinn Tarsuinn and Meall Garbh. Left rucksacks at the col and ascended to Beinn Tarsuinn and back. Skirted Meall Garbh on NW side and on to Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair. Continued to Sgùrr Bàn and Beinn a Chlaidheimh. Some argument about the best line to avoid cliffs. The lower slopes were very wet. Crossed Abhainn Loch an Nid to track. We followed the track to somewhere near Lochain Dubh where we struck cross-country to reach my car. The weather was good.pwbellarby15/08/1993
