see log for Beinn Airigh Charr for parking and bike/walk in. From Kernsary, stay on track in forest (signed), using bridge up-stream (NG901792) to cross burn. Exit forest and good path to Strathan Buidhe. Path up glen to mapped FB. Across and up west face Meall Mheinnidh, easily missing crags on steep grass.carole engel12/09/2023

From Beinn Lair with CM as D.Dave had shot off in front and was in a rush for some reason. Probably the bar at Poolewe Hotel. A very steep descent NW, rocky, which in poor weather could give problems. 25 miles return including bike from Poolewe.bolton02/09/2023
Beinn Lair & Meall Mheinnidh from Poolewe with John & Jon. Tough ride in - starting fine on the road to Kernsary, then a little tougher on the boggy forest track before the very tough singletrack along to Fionn Loch. Made it as far as half way under Meall Mheinnidh before abandoning the bikes. In hindsight, dropping the bikes at the end of the forest trakc would have made more sense. On foot, followed the path E until the path up to Bealach Mheinnidh, then took a direct line up to Beinn Lair's disappointing summit. Dropped back down to the bhealach and took in Graham Meall Mheinnidh (a little over 200m of extra ascent/descent) before returning to the bealach and back to bikes. Cycle out was a bit easier on the legs. Total time = 8h 36min; Cycle in = 2h 3min; Walking = 5h 2min; Cycle out = 1h 31min;mproudfoot02/09/2023
From Bealach Mheinnidh after Beinn Lair. Descended NW ridge. Picked up bike at the foot of Srathan Buidhe. Solo.Dangerous Dave02/09/2023
W Malky and Jackie after camping on Beinn Lair. One shower, windy, cold for July, sunnier later. Went on to Beinn Airigh Charr after. Rounsfell23/07/2023
From Poolewe, car park has donation box for its upkeep. Kernsary has sign saying climbers welcome unlike 30 odd years ago when the estate was hostile to walkers. Burn in forest has a bridge a few metres upstream that I did notice until I had crossed. Track didn’t come out of forest as map showed. Left bikes a forest edge could have cycled further. Best to follow track up Srathan Buidhe a bit to avoid lower crags. No problems avoiding crags on NW ridge. Excellent views. 8Hours50 total.rogreeves06/07/2023
From Carnmore along with B. Lair. Easy stalkers path from the causeway.iangalbraith19/06/2023
On the way back from Lair to Poolewe. E ridge ascent straight forward, NW ridge descent more challenging but in good conditions it was easy enough to find ways around the steep crags.Topographer5709/06/2023

A 3-day bivibag round from junction of Beinn Airigh Charr path and access track. DAY 1: a straightforward day, good path to base of first three tops; Meall Chnaimhean (Gt); Spidean nan Clach(Gt); Beinn Airigh Charr(C); then a big drop down and re-ascent of Meall Mheinnidh(G) and dropped down to bivi spot.dickscroop28/06/2021
From Beinn Airigh Charr. Descent from BAC not too bad, but I found the ascent hard work in the warm, cloudless weather. No path and rough, lumpy terrain. Once off the mountain a long walk back to Poolewe via Kernsary on generally excellent paths and tracks (except rather wet and muddy through the forest).Owen B25/08/2019

Long circuit from Poolewe. Started at noon finished 21.00.David Greaves08/06/2019
Cycled from Poolewe as far as Loch an Doire Crionach, as the path from the Kernsary wood has been upgraded and is ridable with care. Nice wild feel and mostly reasonable underfoot. Great vies of Fionn Loch and the surrounding mts. Could see An Teallach hazily.IanHHill15/08/2018

on my own on incredible backpacking trip round the Fisherfield Forest with Stevie n Tay. Camped at the gap between Beinn Lair and Meall Mheinnidh. After climbing Beinn Lair together I went up Meall a'Mheinnidh while Stevie n Tay had a rest at the tent. Waited on the top till ketzster could text to let me know Villa had beaten Liverpool in FA Cup semi final.Yeltzbagger19/04/2015
W Jenx after long walk in on calm cloudy day from Poolewe. Dropped sacs near Loch and scaled Ben Lair via sub top to large cairn. Bagged Meall Mheinnidh before back to sacs and Carnmore barn for three nights. Big storm overnight to Sunday! Glad of solid roof!nordicstar21/09/2013

Second day of two day expedition from Poolewe to Incheril. With Rhona Fraser and George Gilpin. The weather was good with blue sky and bits of cloud only. We set off at 06:20, ascending the broad south western slopes to reach the summit of Meall Mhèinnidh at 07:15. There were good views to Fionn Loch, Dubh Loch and the causeway dividing them, A’ Mhaighdean etc. We descended to Bealach Mhèinnidh passing a nicely situated small loch.pwbellarby07/08/1994
