Second visit, after Ceann a' Mhara from BalephuilColin Crawford15/08/2023
1/2 Walked from the beach car park up to Beinn Ceann a Mhara and then on to second top Ceann a Mhara, then down to look for the old fort and chapel near the coast and stroll back over the beach. Absolutely idyllic.nickywood120/04/2022
Path from Ceann a’ Mhara. Clear now with fine views. Descent direct to bike and waiting clegs. Flier down to Gilean for a swim . Always weird watching the painted ladies flying by when in the sea.fasgadh04/08/2019
A beautiful viewpoint. Best top of the island. With B and R.jenx09/06/2019
Day trip from Oban. Bike hire for tour of island with C. From car park to east. Both tumps and walk back along the empty beach in sunshine.PeterD22/05/2019

Round of Tiree TuMPs in the pleasant company of Jon Glew. Across dunes. from NE. It and its neighbour are the finest hills in Tiree.Thearlaichdubh31/08/2018
From bend in rod (NL 9456 4263). Good farm/atv tracks most of the way up. On to Ceann a' Mhara.jonglew31/08/2018
Lovely walk through the dunes from Balephuilandy17/07/2017
With Goska whilst others surfedMountain Goat14/09/2016
With John S. From gate at NL 945426 on tracks to south end of Tràigh nan Gilean, then up left to gate in fence on skyline. Thence by NE ridge to summit on NW side of fence, but would probably have been better on SE side because of intervening barbed wire. SW from summit to Ceann a' Mhara: magnificent views on a warm and sunny day.mainnirnamfiadh09/05/2015
A lovely walk combining these two TuMPs plus a walk along the beach with Iain Brown and Martin Richardson.Dugswell209/05/2014
Obvious why Tiree is famous for its beaches. For the lack of height this and its partner are grand little hills.Martin R09/05/2014
fine hill prob best on island; lovely view. from W Hynish; descend NE ridge RHW29/05/2003
