Climbed as part of the Beinn Dearg group, from Inverlael forest. Biked up a track as far as the edge of the trees, then bagged Eididh nan Clach Geala (926m), Meall nan Ceapraichean (977m), Cona' Mheall (977m) and Beinn Dearg (1084m). Beinn Dearg is my 50th Munro this year (there was a couple of Corbetts, Grahams & Donalds too) and 100th since August 2016.chillyman813/10/2019

MMC weekend in Inverlael. Bein Dearg 4 with Robert Wight, Eunice Coop, John Berry and Jeremy Idle. Lovely sunny blue sky day with cloud inversion to west. Microspikes on mixed neve, snow and rock.alexmaclennan14/03/2015
Fourth day of five-day trip with DW & SL. Staying in Aultguish. Linda joined us for this day too, but did not do all four peaks with us. We had a bit of a race to the summit of this peak... Classic Beinn Dearg horseshoe from Inverlael. This was an easier day than expected. The ascent to the ~850m col is very gentle, making it very easy. Good weather, with a haze 'inversion'. Leave pack on the tripple coll. Exhausted after early start and three other Munros, get to summit at 5.08 in deepening dusk. By time get back to col/plateau it's pretty dark and I'm almost deliriously exhausted. Decided to lie down to sleep for ten mins before resuming 40m climb back to col where I left my pack, which I hunt for with head torch. Fortunately good path all way down the 6.5km valley back to the car. Ben-Ji dog as exhausted as me when we get back and just zonks on the floor and really stiff the next morning. 268th Munro.vegibagger27/10/2009

From Meall nan Ceapraichean. Wild country, a fine summit: we wandered down the SE ridge for impressive scenery. This narrow ridge from Coire Ghrunda would be the best way up, but we were on a 4 day trek and that would have to be for another time. The descent to the col W of the summit, avoiding going back over the summit, was (unexpectedly) the easiest terrain of the entire 4 days and 46 miles.pwheeler28/05/2004

With Rhona Fraser. From car park where road crosses Abhainn an Torrain. We contoured round above Loch a’ Gharbhrain. Crossing Allt a’ Gharbhrain was easy in spite of warnings in guide books. We climbed up to summit above Leac an Tuadh where there are several bumps along a ridge. We climbed straight up to summit at NH275807 – Rhona’s Ridge we called it as she was in the lead. We deliberately took to harder scrambling. We went along the ridge to Cona Mheall.
