From the usual start point but dimbo here took the easy track going N at NH660748 thinking I knew the way, ha, ha. I set off across tussocks towards the summit from a large turning area NH662755 and was amazed to find the going much better than it looks, on deer tracks to the wall, then a very overgrown ATV track higher up, along fence posts to the top. The forest to the N has gone, so views are good. Took the usual route back to make a surprisingly good circuit.Gill217/02/2024

Along forest tracks, to the summit. The trees to the north have been felled. Then off to the trig pillar. 4” of snow, brash, bog and tusocks made for hard work. Snow squalls blowing through.cjo08/04/2022
Easy walk on tracks almost to summit.nicolajane26/03/2022
Parked just S of the house others have mentioned. The forestry track has space next to the road for about 3 cars without obstructing anything. Through the open gate, first left and round another locked gate, then first right. Follow track ignoring 2 left forks, the second of which has a new looking shiny metal gate. Continued until track reached a turning circle and a path led up L to the summit area. Argue amongst yourselves exactly where the top is! Visited the cairn where the view S opens up a bit. With J. Back by same route.NotReallyABagger19/05/2021

From B9176 via forest tracks.Winterfloodian28/10/2020
Self and dog. Fox scat and pine marten scat on tracks. If approaching from the west (Struie road), take the right fork at NH 66057485. The left fork is new and leads I think to a comms mast. You could get to the summit along the ridge but in summer it's heavily vegetated. Fine view to the eastward.Invicta1414/09/2020
As Jonglew - also visited Kinrive Hill Trig.ger12/09/2020
Route as per Gill and ChrisR. Very easy walk up the tracks to within a few metres of the summit. 4.5 miles 1hr 40 walking time for me.JulieB04/09/2020
On a circular walk from Inchdown.BigJ07/12/2019
Easy walk up the various tracks. I was pleasantly surprised to see the larch and Scots pines at the top.Peterb20/11/2019
3 of 6: Parked off B9176 at 653756. Immediately left at 1st track junction then right at the next. Then a minor track left when the main track ends near the top. Father Jack poster, with quote! replaced with Clint Eastwood at the private driveway sign.ChrisR13/09/2019
From NH 6527 7561. Good forest tracks to NH 6725 7499 whence a turn to NNW up a not so good track, then a bit of rough ground sees the top. On to the Kinrive Hill trig pillar. With Carole Engel.jonglew01/04/2018
Skulking in a forest to dodge the gales and rain out west. This one is a surprisingly nice walk, via the voie normale. The 1:25K is not quite accurate, you park before the house, turn left past an unlocked gate, then first right on the old track. Goes to a turning area, where you'll find a scruffy track going to the top of the hill. Nice open native forest towards the top and good views from the large cairn, worth a visit in addition to the summit.Gill23/12/2017
Easy from T junction to W as previously described. Pleasant walkThearlaichdubh19/05/2017
From road via forestry track, happy surprise it continued to the summit. Wandered about to find true top, but Cairn much nicer spot. Great pine forestN.Morters02/05/2017

From B9176. Parked at 194 spot height. Sowing on way up, in cloud on reaching summit, then cloud lifted. Light airs. With PM.CJM07/02/2017
From the forest entrance at 652756. An easy track to 671749 then an old track to the summit. This track is not on the 1:50000 map. Plenty of snow but visibility good. With CJM in 1 hour 50 minutes.bolton07/02/2017

Locked gate. Walked to summit in 40 mins from B9176 on good road/track.NormanW18/04/2016
Good track all the way shown on 1:25000. Recent trimming back of the verges made it more passable.jenx23/03/2016
With Jenx, as others before and esp Robert P drove up to park at track leading to top. The narrow lane edges now all cut back however a car with good ground clearance useful to ride above the central furrow. Some views to the Cromarty Firth. Nice woodland.nordicstar23/03/2016
Cycled all the way up from the B9176 to the summit. Well not quite, I admit I pushed some of it.Topographer5719/08/2015
Solo. Was passing by with a mountain bike so cycled all the way to the top.amswanston09/08/2015

Cycled all the way. I suspect that none of the candidates for the summit are natural and are spoil heaps.Martin R26/10/2013

Red kite. Chained bike to a new forest fence blocking access further up hill. Forestry Commission notice Please close the gate beside an isolated gate without the old fence! Fallen tree across new fence so that I could step over uphill on forest road for a mile and on narrower road around to forest edge. 2 mile stretch on top of the hill had been left without plantings - desolate and swampy. Set off on compass to first corner to E. High stepping over mossy heather and swamp plants to a massive 7' pile of stones at the end, but the highest point was 100m before that.arranc25/06/2005
