From the N, a stile gets you over the deer fence where it joins the ordinary fence, then follow the ridge to the right for the summit. | DavieRuts | 04/06/2023 |
Leccamore and Furachail from large layby at NM 7435 1111. Steep climbs and floaty bogs, engaging terrain. Then Dubh Leathad. | RHW | 18/05/2023 |
Return visit to record summit GR. After Dùn Leccamore. From about 7488 1195 on Ardinamir road, southwards on track to large green area almost surrounded by fencing. A gate in the newish deer fence about 7468 1155 gives access to summit ridge running south-south-west, surprisingly spiky for these hills. A little sunnier than earlier, and more Garvellachs in view. Back to Ardinamir road, then past the fire station back to the ferry. | mainnirnamfiadh | 22/10/2021 |
Dropped off at S end of Luing by Farsain Cruises. With Darren Giddings, Adrian Rayner and Charles Everett. Walked the length of the island picking up all the tumps. From Leccamore, and on to Dubh Leathad. | jonglew | 17/05/2018 |

3rd tump of 10 today, the 1st 6 with Charles Everett, Jon Glew and Adrian Rayner, as we traversed Luing from the Southern tip, climbing Aird Luing and Leccamore, then across to this one, a nice grassy knoll, recording 92m @ NM 74625 11293. Descent Sw, then South along ridge over road onto good track, heading for Dubh Leathad... | Dazingdale | 17/05/2018 |
Rough and boggy approach from Dun to the East rewarded by dramatic skies silhouetting islands West. HP short grassy rocky ridge within sheep pasture -lambs baaing and larks singing. | Denise | 19/04/2018 |
Similar approach to Charlie - the electric fence had me cursing. Pleasant ridge though. On to Leccamore | Colin Crawford | 13/04/2017 |
Parked at track junction immediately to W and up through trees. Well guarded by barbed wire and electric fence | Thearlaichdubh | 13/03/2017 |
Walked south from South Cuan as far as junction for Ardinamair, left up to highest point of road, then right on track leading to ridge up to summit. Descent eastwards over rough and boggy ground to ridge north of Dùn Leccamore, then south to the Dùn. | mainnirnamfiadh | 18/04/2015 |
