Lunga-Fiola traverse, with Farsain, organised by Dazingdale. Knoll to W appears a little higherRHW15/05/2018
1st of 9 tumps on the 2nd day of three boat trips I organised with Farsain Cruises. My intention was to make the most of the low tidal state to allow a traverse and to do this on this day so I had to change things to allow us to do that so instead of a North to South or a South to North drop off, I negotiated a drop off on the Western arm of Lunga and we landed at NM69929 07904 to head for Garbh Cheatramh, requiring a scramble off a tidal outlying band of rock called Sgeir nan Gabhar. I headed NE then North on a direct line for the summit in overcast conditions, recording 73m @ NM 69941 08424 and 75m @ NM 69950 08430. Onwards to Bidein na h-lolaire. I had approximated that the time taken to do this and the Island high point would allow us to head North and cross over to Fiola an Droma, Fiola Mheadonach and then onto Rubha Fiola.. Did i get it right?Dazingdale15/05/2018
Fine location. Farsain Cruises, group charter. Stormy day! Landed E side; bagged S summit then bypassed Bidein for this W summit, visiting island HP on way back to boat.RHW06/06/2015
