From fitheach I did reach the part on the map sawmill but no way of directly crossing as ended up knee deep in swamp so a detour south to the track which was a good path then straight up through wooded area to summit.The-Z-Man24/03/2024
Keeping up my record of climbing this Tump every day I'm on Colonsay. 4/4 for this trip, 8/8 overall.Minto08/06/2023

Fourth ascent of this mighty peak during my stay on Colonsay. Why? Well, Chalky1953 - hill bagger extrordinaire, climbed it more than once, so I thought it an appropriate remembrance of him. RIP Ken.Minto12/04/2022

Staying at Backpackers Lodge, with wind turbine access track (not mapped) starting at the gate, gives very easy access. Grass to south is easier than the lumpy stone track. If arriving by car, park at large garage / workshop on left with sign for Woodland Walks (worth exploring), and walk up track, following signs for backpackers.Minto09/04/2022
From Colonsay House on a round of the hills on Colonsay's NE end. Beinn Eoin -> Beinn Bheag -> Meall na Monadh -> Dun Crom -> Cnoc na Faire -> Pairc Gharbh -> Beinn nam Fitheach first then picked up this one on the return. Also picked up the MacPhies and a trig bolt (searched for but not found) at Leac Bhuidhe on an 11 mile round with Andrew P.jonglew10/09/2021

Pleasant stroll from B8086 by turning to backpackers hostel. Sheep in bull’s field.Nick Down122/04/2019
After Beinn nan Gudairean. Old road and B8087, then minor road to backpackers’ hostel. Through very new gate to left on to bulldozed track to wind turbine, then rough pasture to flagpole. Brief respite from rain while on top. Back down to hostel, noticing bull close to gate; but he was cowering against the wall out of the wind. B8087 to Scalasaig.mainnirnamfiadh25/09/2018
From the track to the Backpackers' Lodge, past the wind turbine to the flagpole on top. Last Tump on Colonsay but rather an anti-climax. Yet another torrential downpour set in as I regained the road but the local postman gave me a lift to ScalasaigColin Crawford28/07/2018
9th and final tump on a challenging 19.8km Northerly loop from the Backpackers lodge, climbing Beinn an Sgoltaire, Beinn Inebri, Carnan Eoin, Beinn Bheag, Meall na Monadh, over Dun Meadhonach fort to Dun Crom, over Maol Choinnich, to the beautiful Northerly Bay then over Cnoc Corr, Cnoc a' Charragh, past a Standing Stone,Cnoc na Faire, Bheinn Bhreac, Maol Buidhe, Dun Dubh, Cnoc Mor Carraig nan Darrach, Pairc Gharbh, Beinn nam Fitheach then Wsw to this tump, crossing some marshy ground before ascending an unstable woodland slope to arrive at a wall, once crossed the Flagpole and summit was a few metres away. Descended down the track past the Backpackers lodge to encircle Colonsay House to take advantage of soup and coffee before making my way back to the lodge.Dazingdale09/05/2018
Evening stroll up after dinner. Out the back of the small hostel, and whilst the bull was over on the other side of the field. Old flagpole on top.nordicstar23/08/2015
