Parked on A9 and walked up a very quiet Glen Loth. Ascent via ATV track mentioned by others. Humid, low cloud, little views, lots of midges and then later very wet at times. Glad to get back to the car.benalder28427/07/2020
From Glen Loth. Over ladder stile and steeply up hillside north of crags. Across to summit and then, mostly in cloud, to Ben Uarie. Return to bealach and down to Glen Loth road.the pigguy 26/09/2019
before meeting some colleagues in Dornoch for the Lairg Crofters' Show; I drove up early from Edinburgh, coffee at House of Bruar and bacon roll and coffee in Linda's(?) café in Brora; drove up Glen Loth; parked car near standing stone, crossed stile and headed directly up the hill; a steepish climb on wet grass and heather; I took some photographs at the sw top before continuing over easy ground to the main summit; I then continued to Ben Uarie - en route to which I took some photographs of a rainbow that touched down on the banks of the Helmsdale River (BBC Scotland did not take photo as one of its photos of the month); I could also see the enormous Duke of Sutherland's statue above Golspie from Beinn Dhorain; I descended via the col and burn between Dhorain and Uarie and drove over Glen Loth and down Strath Kildonan to Helmsdalelangskill30/08/2019
Trudged up from the track just north of the Standing Stones, taking in Druim Dearg, Creag a Bhodaich, Beinn Dhorain and Ben Uarie. Breezy but warm. Headed down to the Glen Loth road where we managed to hitch a lift back to the car from a young French couple. Merci Bien!summitter28/07/2019

A glorious sunny day with good snow on the tops. The standard route from Glen Loth. Parked by the cattle grid, climbed the padlocked deer gate, up the ATV track, and then snow to the summit of Beinn Dhorain. Descent into Glen Sletdale, then on to Carn Garbh. Down to Coire Riabhach, keeping to the N side of the stream for an easy dry shod crossing of the Sletdale Burn. Deer tracks back to the track.Gill05/04/2018

Parked as Rick 937163. On reaching burn the right hand side (Ben Uarie) seemed less steeply angled, we took the wrong side. Sunny, warm and great views.iangalbraith06/08/2017

Started from viewpoint at summit of Glen Loth Road. The South end of the road is currently closed due to construction of a hydro-electric power station. Ascended direct to the trig point and then onwards to the summit top. Continued onwards to Carn Garbh via Choire Mhor and descending into upper Glen Sletdale.raffemeister22/08/2016
Took in hill on journey home from Tongue following convoluted drive south through mixture of bright clear skies and driving snow and hail coming direct S from Arctic. Direct ascent from Glen Loth in bitter wind. Remained dry and clear for ascent though with magnificent views in all directions. Down to Loch Fleet for some bird watching en-route homeSpudGunn15/04/2016

During a New Year week at Helmsdale. Parked at about 936158. With Martin66, J, JC, Otis, Shaky, Smithy & Hunts, set off straight up W for the summit. Snow fields higher up which started off soft & then became increasingly icy on the steeper bits before the angle eased off. Wandered over to Ben Uarie then back to the col & down, taking a slanting line back to the cars.NotReallyABagger31/12/2014

On way back from working in Thurso. I drove south via Forsinard to Kildonan and followed the Kildonan - Lothbeg road. This road has very few passing places. It looks like an old road judging by the old stone bridges. There is plenty of grass growing on the road surface. It is not gritted or kept clear of snow in Winter. I left the car at NC934172 and walked up the hillside more or less straight to the summit of Ben Uarie. There is a trig point inside a shelter. Then on to the summit of Beinn Dhorain. There is a cairn. This is a Graham. Went down SE slope to some cairn/structure and then N to burn, E to road and up road. Passed a man digging peat near the road.pwbellarby30/07/2003
