Parked by gate at NH658982 (7:45) and walked up track. Many trees now felled on W side. Left the track where it crosses the W ridge. Used faint but useful path by the edge of the wood before striking up towards small col and summit (8:45). Also visited the E top to be sure. Back by same route. Finish 9:55. Warm and dry; hazy views.dbb08/09/2023

Up good track from Loch Bhuidhe, then up to summit along edge of forest. Descended steeply south through break in the crags to regain track and followed it back to start point. KeithByTheC02/09/2020
Parked in the large passing place and took the track until the forest ceased on the LHS. Then followed the edge of the forest uphill to the 320m contour. From there it was a direct line to the top. Also visited the eastern top (Pt 347). Returned same way.garyhoney28/07/2020
Just room to park by the no parking sign without blocking the access gate at 659982. Straightforward walk up the track though tree felling is taking place before striking up at the hillside at 671967. I was surprised to meet two other walkers at this point with this being such a remote spot. Great views.Peterb18/01/2020

Parking and route as per previous log. Good views all round. Descended down the steep re-entrant to the south back to the track.BigJ08/03/2019
Parked in extra large passing place beside Loch Buidhe at NH659982. The one 'keep out construction site' sign was outvoted by two 'walkers welcome' signs (I think the keep out sign refers to the fenced-off sub-station area; either the installers of the sign found it easier to fix it to wood than to wire or they wanted a laugh by perplexing walkers). SE up the forest track then up W ridge, carefully avoiding the saplings which someone has toiled with shoulder bag and spade to plant, even though the little blighters will eventually grow to obstruct the route.Isbjorn28/12/2018
Limited parking to west behind passing place at around NH642950. Track to end of Loch an Lagain. North along burn in wide tree break to West end of summit ridge. Descended to Loch Beinn Domhnaill. Path southwards through trees (narrow fire break) contains many fallen trees making for difficult progress in places. Ascended to Loch a' Gobhair - the first section of track is indistinct and rough. Ascended to summit of Creag a' Gobhair and then descended west to road.raffemeister10/09/2018
During a fine weather week in Sutherland with J. This was a day off the Corbetts, but that just meant a couple of Marilyns instead! From a large passing place at NH657982 at the side of Loch Buidhe, walked about 50m along the road to the forest track. The first 200m has been appropriated by construction traffic for the large Loch Buidhe substation & a rather unfriendly 'Keep Out' notice contrasted to the Forestry Commission 'Visitors Welcome' post. Not much sign of activity, so we pressed on up the track to the point where the forestry clears & then directly up the slope to the summit & visited the E top too. Saplings are growing extensively on all this ground. Good viewpoint. Returned by the same route by which time the sun had brought out dozens of Orange-tip butterflies.NotReallyABagger23/05/2018
Roadside parking (NH 6586 9827). Good forest track to NH 6700 9669 then very boggy fire breakover and eventually rough open fellside to top. Returned along S edge of forest to pick up the forest track for return. With Carole Engel for the outbound leg.jonglew06/04/2018
Parked in the large passing place at NH 65751 98281 and walked east along the road for 100m and right up the FC track. I left the track where the woodland ends, and headed up broad ridge to the top, and then on to point 347. Returned by a similar route.martin_hall25/03/2018
Parked near the dam at the head of Loch Buidhe and headed straight up. the terrain was a mixture of tussocks, bog and soft snow, making for hard work. There were negotiable fire breaks through the trees but this route is not to be recommended, although the heavy snow didn't help. Visited both summit candidates and descended to the track through the forestry. Followed the track and the road back to the car, which was a much easier route.Sprog14/02/2018
Good parking by the no parking sign next to the forestry gate by Loch Buidhe. Up the track, passing under 2 sets of pylons and passing a substation construction site away to the right, then on an older track through the forestry. I took the old, overgrown, short track branching left at the highest point of the track, then up along the edge of the trees towards the hill. Over the first top, down, then up to the summit. Nice views, shame about the terrain.Gill24/12/2017
From NW on track, ignoring no access and no parking notices, parking safely without obstructing access, and staying outside the fenced off power line construction area. Track leads up onto open hill.Topographer5712/08/2017
Loch Buidhe, watch for Ospreys fishing. No parking sign at gate, good 1 car space off road at next passing space. Biked forest, dry climb, poured off.iangalbraith08/08/2017

Park by gate Lochside. Easy walk to col then spongy, grassy heather made possible by good animal tracks. Stay close to trees on way out. Also final further top, lower.nordicstar24/03/2016
Pretty easy,. Stayed by forest edge as far as possible to make use of tracks. Work on adjacent land was not a problem, even though there is a warning sign at the gate off the road.jenx24/03/2016
