5.55pm...A kilometre walk grim the end of the road to ESE.. Complete here of cows in summit field, Mr Bull, his cows and calves. As usual they tried up and gathered round me with curiosity as I strolled to the high point of the field. I chatted to them and tried stretching out my hand to Mr Bull th see if he'd have courage to lock it, but he backed off and kept his distance. Didn't have time to gradually build their trust, so a tried of back down the field, and of course they trotted after me, following | vegibagger | 23/08/2022 |
No feature in grassy field easily accessed from track and gate. Light rain. Hoy has disappeared into low cloud. Water tank at field edge. | Denise | 06/08/2022 |
From SSW if hill, park on corner to Garth. Good tarmac road to here. Track to Orkney gate past water tank, then pasture to summit. | Minto | 01/08/2022 |
I parked on the road near Fourquoy farm but could have driven much further on the metalled road. HP in pasture field, typical of Orkney and appropriate for my last Mainland Tump | Colin Crawford | 01/08/2022 |
From Garth junction, up track to water tank then into pasture and summit. Good views to Hoy hills. | PeterD | 28/06/2019 |
A drive-by from Feolquoy. Tarmac to the Garth track junction, then easy off-road up to a water tank, but the grassy pull in just beyond is only suitable for a 4WD and you have to be able to reverse down to the track junction at Garth. 2WD should park at the Garth track junction. An openable Orkney gate and a breaker for the electric fence give access to the summit field. | Gill | 25/02/2019 |
