Good parking to SE. Along track to Moan, then up to summit and trig. With SG & MP.Minto08/08/2022
Route as described by Minto. Just Jill and I on this one. Our final hill on Rousay!Dangerous Dave08/08/2022
Parking at cross roads at road end to SE. Just a mindless plod in strong winds and drizzle. According to the happy farmer the a is silent so its pronounced as the French for my.Thearlaichdubh24/09/2021
Nothing to Moan about here, in fact a very pleasant walk along the track to the big ruin of Moan, then up rough grass to a turf wall and easy heather/grass/bare shingly ground to the summit. Interesting detour to the Hermitage on the way down. Locals told us this was a 40 year old chap who was allowed to put a caravan there by the Nun who owned the land. He then built the wall around it and lived on game that he caught. During the winters, he tended to get a bit thin, so the people kept him fed. Sadly, he became ill with cancer and later died.Gill23/02/2019
Good roadside parking (HY 3850 3262). Green lane to interesting ruin at Moan, then SW to hill top and trig pillar. Tried driving closer via Hamarfiold, but could get no closer than HY 3861 3308, and parking tricky there.jonglew23/02/2019
From HY381323, then around the coast to Erne Tower and Saviskaill. Difficult to say which side of the wall is the higher.summitsup02/09/2018
