Long walk in from west. Some electric fences to duck | vegibagger | 26/08/2022 |
Parked at end of passing place to the SSE (HY 2818 2614). Walked road NW for ~120m for field access, then directly up. Can avoid hopping a double electric fence near the summit by going to end of field for a gate at HY 282 2652. | jonglew | 09/08/2022 |
Looked at routes from SW, S, and SE, but decided against them due to lack of parking, cows, and electric fences. Found a really good way from E, parking opposite entrance to fishery track. Over two barbed wire fences, and under two single strand electric fences to easily reach summit. Higher up are parallel fences, so route would go even if cows were in adjacent fields. | Minto | 01/08/2022 |
Parked on road to south then along field edges, couple of electric wires to negotiate, inquisitive cattle in adjoining fields | Colin Crawford | 28/07/2022 |
Parked to SE, but entered field to SW opposite farm. Another gate higher up and stayed south and east of fence to reach blocks at HP. No cattle on my visit. | PeterD | 30/06/2019 |
From the SW initially up steep grass to ridge line then along ridge, a few electric fences to add interest. Summit marked by cairn of dumped sandstone blocks close to fence line in field of inquisitive cows. Extensive island views. | RichardM | 31/07/2018 |
I had to crawl under 3 fences to bag this prominent hill with Jim Bloomer and Tricky Speirs on a sunny afternoon. | Dugswell2 | 31/05/2014 |
