Rough and boggy circuit from parking at Orbost | govanah | 17/09/2023 |
With Dave Roeder. Parked at Orbost and followed the road and start of Dunvegan path, then the fence line WSW from NG 256445 till it bends southward. Then W over the low col and the Osdale river to the E ridge of the North Table. Fortunately reasonably dry going. Long pull up to the summit (in cloud, 13:10). Followed the ridge line round over Beinn na h-Uamha to the South Table, also in cloud (15:05). Continued S then SE to Beinn Bhac-ghlais (not in cloud, 16:30). Descended the ridge ENE and finally S to a wet track which led past NG 246407 to the Idrigill track and thence back to the car park (18:25). Long day, few summit views but no rain. | dbb | 13/05/2023 |
Macleod's tables from corner of road. Clockwise loop, Healabhal Bheag, Beinn na h-Uamha, Healabhal Mhor. Really boggy, very few sections of path. A real slog. 14.5 km in 4.5 hrs | Nicky C | 19/10/2021 |
Parked at gate opposite Uiginish turnoff. Hack across some fairly boggy moorland to summit. Good views but can't seem to get excited about either of these two tables. | Matt2901 | 01/08/2021 |
Continued from Healabhal Bheag. Superb views. | Peterb | 27/04/2021 |
Rough walk down | Adventurers5 | 18/09/2020 |
From Healabhal Bheag, steep descent then kept east of the rocky ledges heading north to An Sgurran and then up the steep slope to the top. Returned the same way to get around the burns then headed east to get back to Orbost. 5 of 7 | Simon Winton | 13/03/2020 |
From 256444, over Osdale River to top, then Bheag and Bhac- Ghlais. Great circuit, 16.3k. | NormanW | 07/06/2019 |
1 of 4: From Orbost CP by workshop. With David. | ChrisR | 12/05/2018 |
From track to Osdale, small paring area near gate. Followed track to Osdale, just before gate signposted path off to the right follows the north bank of river to start then steepening grassy slopes to spongy summit area. Sunny great views to the Long Isles. Continued on to the other tables | N.Morters | 28/05/2017 |
late afternoon in this glorious blue sky decide evening is too glorious to waste and risk parking up at end of the cul-de-sac road on east side of Glendale to head up the hills that head over Beinne na Creiche, with a trig pillar towardsand Beinn an Fhraoich and Healabhal Mhor, then back west over Beinn na Coinnich and Beinn na Uisge, whose summit I dont leave til 10.58pm. | vegibagger | 25/05/2017 |

Anti-clockwise round of the three Macleods Marilyns from road 1km up from Orbost w Jenx. Good frozen ground all way to the Mhor. Fun continuation to the Brag then steep descent and rise to Beinn Bhac Ghlais. Down ridge and felled woods to track and 2miles to car. | nordicstar | 12/02/2016 |
round of healabhal mhor, healabhal bheag and beinn bhac ghlais anticlockwise from 1 km north of orbost. | robertphillips | 26/04/2015 |
From Osdale a path was followed on the north side of the stream until a crossing point about a 1km upstream. The top is more of a sponge than a table but a walk around its perimeter make it very worth while for the views. | mindlessflogger | 16/02/2015 |
3 Marilyns clockwise from Orbost. Perfect weather. | AndrewFinnimore | 09/07/2014 |

On farm road to Osdale. New stile less wire fence. Detour to left to clamber over and down and over a stream. Up on rough dry ground to first band of cliffs. Steady plod over potentially haggy area to WDP long zig to the right under the next rock band, plod uphill on tussock and deer grass to large 6' cairn of old stones. 10.45. Western Isles seemed very close. | arranc | 10/05/2008 |
Parked at Orbost and walked back down the lane. At the bend headed off west and crossed the Osdale River. Along steep climb later reached the summit. Cathy very much under the weather. Great views in all directions. | garyhoney | 07/04/2002 |
