A dawn start race against incoming clag, via the 'Tourist' route, which it deffo is not once above the Fionna-choire (FC). The 'motorway' from the car park peters out into a maze of very faint tracks, presumably where people fan out in search for the way onward, above the FC, up R, until the harsh terrain forces then back into a small number of possibilities, where a few scree paths become clear. This is not a hill to descend its upper half in poor viz, with gashes, crags and gullies to catch the unwary. Looked at the SW top but declined the verglass on the scrambly rocks. Just got back to the FC as the viz vanished. | Isbjorn Winter Round | 09/01/2019 |

Up the tourist route, weather was foul. Once at the summit we struggled to find the way we came up so descended down the scree slope. Will have to come back again for the views. | tomd4 | 05/09/2016 |

Week in Skye with Mum. Blaven by 'tourist route' - cracking walk up into Coire Uaigneich, then up to E ridge, great rock scenery, crossing to S Top a G2 scramble, then very steep and loose down SE flank. Took in Slat Bheinn and An Stac on way down, lovely hills. | Mark Jackson | 13/07/2013 |
Solo climb whilst on holiday. Excellent sunny weather and good views all round. | knarf | 11/07/2013 |
Solo. Figured that I might as well break my Skye cherry. Warm day with mists that teased you with the views they were hiding. Take your pick of paths up! Sketchy path between 2 tops, but all in all a cracking hill and not to be rushed! 9.7km, 1118m, 6hr45. | bowzi | 09/07/2013 |
With Matt, Simon, Sarah, Marie & Linda | PDR1966 | 30/06/2013 |
My last peak. Attempted it with Martin on the 2nd December and arrived at the south summit crossing to north peak treacherous so returned back to camp. I think my missus was glad that I was still alive. Returning three weeks later went up by Coire Uaigneich with crampons and ice axe. Managed it. My final munro. What a corker. Trig revisit. Path is good these days - boggy approach last time I was here. Bagged An Stac (Yeaman) and Slat-bheinn (Graham Top) on the way up; had a bit of fun getting across from the SW top in mist (as the summit was all day) - keep a bit R of crest. Bruach na Frithe in the afternoon - also in mist. | RHW | 03/06/2011 |
