Am Bastier, Bhastier Tooth. With Jim F and Reg, led by Malcolm our guide.CJM24/05/2019
With Jim, Chris & guide Malcolm - approach via Am Bastier - little climbing & quite a bit of roped lowering - wet rock/mist.ger24/05/2019
With Reg Willis & Chris Meadows and led by Malcolm Airey from Skye Guides. Abseiled down from the summit and off down King's Cave Chimney. 8rs 20mins for the round. My final Munro Top.Jim.Fothergill24/05/2019
With Jonah and Iain. From Am Basteir. Short abseil off Am Basteir and a straightforward down climb (no ropes) which I nevertheless managed to make look difficult. Then an easy slabby ascent to the summit. A fun descent underneath overhanging chock stones making for a cave like feel. Followed by that amazing 24m abseil off the tooth. Lovely dry, sunny, warm day. Fantastic stuff.Owen B13/05/2019

From Am Basteir. Easy downclimb and abseil then up the slabby rock. Warmed up a bit so mercifully verglas melting. Awkward move into cave and exciting abseil down King's Chimney after digging out in situ anchor slings. Descended Coire a' Bhasteir to Sligachan in sunshine to end a great mountain day. 7 hours 40 mins.Wycombe Wanderer30/03/2019
Climbed Collie's Route with Mike Lates (Skye Guide). Abseiled off from King's Chimney. Up to Sgurr a' Fionn Choire and Bruach na Frithe.Dangerous Dave22/07/2018

Sue and I are not climbers so were unsure about this one, but - get yourself a good guide; follow Naismith's route; don't look down and when you get to the top you'll have had the biggest adrenalin rush of your life. Yippee!Ianto&Sue15/05/2007

With Rhona Fraser. From Sligachan to Lota Corrie face of Bhasteir Tooth. We climbed up way previously climbed, and then to left and then upward with delicate climbing. No further progress was possible, so climbed down – tricky. Then went further down into corrie. Rhona went furthest down and found she could climb up. I made a shortcut. We climbed to the top of Bhasteir Tooth. At last we had found Collie’s route!pwbellarby20/08/1995

From Slig over Gillean with my climbing mate AM. Bhasteir Tooth was where my 1st definition of 'bag' was born: you have to sit on the highest point. Later, after owning my own rope, the definition is updated to 'stand on ...'. (Although, it was nearly 'throw a stone at it ... on A'Chir, Arran).Eddie06/04/1992

Winter Traverse of the Cuillin Ridge - a dream trip come true. North to South w Martin S with bivis on the ridge. perfect firm snow. 1st afternoon-this and the Tooth was a time consuming section involving 3 abseils and one jump ! Much easier doing the ridge n - s in winter where the difficulties here can be abd down not climbed up. The ropes thankfully pulled down after the long ab off the Tooth.Chris Pearson16/02/1991

Via Naismith's Route, with Roger.Isbjorn05/06/1988
The whole Cuillin Ridge after 5 years of waiting. w Ian & Steve.I was struggling badly now -feeling sick, weak, tired (dehydrated) and now shivering in the damp gloom as daylight dwindled. Steve heroically led Naismith's Route, Ian shot up;I just HAD to get up and quickly, which, despite limited leg lift in my waterproof leggings, was not too bad except for the last roll over the top. We all scuttled up to touch the top of the tooth in the gloom then hurriedly had to work out how to get up Am Bhasteir in a race against failing light.Chris Pearson28/05/1988
