My last Marilyn in Skye. The usual route from the lay-by next to the Luib sign, then over the gates by the green shed, then the very wet fields out to the open hill, then plod up the fence and the wall higher up, quite steep in places. A rather wild day, wet and windy, but, surprisingly, the summit area was less windy. No views at the top but not bad lower down. The wind picked up during my walk and it was exceptionally difficult getting down the steepest part of the ridge. Thank you, Met Office, not.Gill27/05/2022
From Loch Ainort stunning morning up onto north ridge. Wall to wall sunshine.N.Morters15/05/2022
MC JC O. From the green barn. Straight up the ridge in a strong NE wind. Good views to the Black Cuillin and Marsco.Martin6627/04/2021
driving South, from the car parking spot just after the green shed, just before the Luib sign on the A87 559278. Through the gate by the green shed, straight up leads to another gate, just by the countouring track, then straight up the ridge over another old BWF,then just follow the ridge along the line of the old rusty fenceposts and an old wall, which becomes a real wall at about 420m. Lower section of hill short heather and bits of paths after a short steep bit you meet the wall and it becomes nice and grassy. Summit is a great viewpoint. Returned same way 3 miles total, took me just over an hour to the top, but the speedy will do it much quicker.JulieB17/09/2020
From Luib via north ridge.Winterfloodian06/09/2020
From Belig down north ridge and then east from grassy part towards the col. Easy climb to summit as showers moved in after a glorious early part to the day. Descended into Coire Choinnich. Rough going through heather and bog. Reached the bridge on the A850. Solo in 6 hours 40 minutes for the 3 marilyns.bolton01/10/2019

From green metal barn, at W edge of Luib and up the NNE ridge, two gates and one rusty old PWF. Luckily the awful quagmire above the barn was frozen solid. No path, but the grass and heather was relatively short. 5cm of fresh powder snow.Isbjorn23/01/2019
Round of Garbh-Bheinn, Belig and Glas Bheinn Mhor frim road bend in unbroken sunshine. Easy ascent and descent from col. Wind dropped unexpectedly, ran seriously low in liquid supply in the heat.Topographer5726/05/2018
Parked near the Waterfall then headed over and straight up. Hard slog. Low cloud on summit, followed wall to Belig for a bit. Company: Soloiandesbottes07/05/2018

From the slopes of Belig it looked like it would be easy underfoot, encouraging me to add this summit to the round starting with Garbh-bheinn. So it proved... going up. The views were a delight, in the early evening light, near the sea and with Raasay and Trotternish in front. The ridge was impressively airy. Unfortunately the path that had been worn on the S ridge didn't continue on the N side and there was a lot of trying to link thinner patches of heather and avoid hidden block of rubble. There was a 2 km roadside walk by the A87 to get back up from the shore to the parking place and it was an advantage of being rather slow that most of the busy traffic had gonepwheeler14/06/2016
1,000th Scottish Marilyn. After Beinn na Cro. Crossed the river and diagonally up to main ridge which is very steep at bottom, posts then wall along the crest to the summit. Very windy but a good 1,000 er.Thearlaichdubh21/08/2015
Parking off main road at minor rd 542268. Nice view of pod of Minke whale. Use small burn opposite to make way onto hill, aiming for col between Belig and Glas Bheinn Mhor. Rough going to 200m then eases up. Took the NE ridge of Belig to gain summit with superb views in great weather. Down the NNW ridge to 500m then cut back into corrie and along wall to summit of second Marilyn. Grand half day trip.nordicstar11/06/2015
