On horseshoe walk from Coire-chat-achan. Though the ascent of Beinn na Caillich was often tedious, the ridge walk from there was delightful, enlivened by many species of arctic and high moorland moths flying in the warm sunshine. To the bealch was bare and gravelly, on the climb there was more vegetation and moss, so there were plenty of midges too- above 2000 ft. Grand views from summit. Surprisingly rough descent to next bealach, proved to be very slow going.pwheeler18/06/2016

From the East by chambered cairn w Jenx. Crossed to nr Old Corry and up Alt a'Choire to gain top of Beinn na Caillich. On down easy steeps to col and the steady up to Beinn Dearg Mhor summit. Even better views of Cuillin. Unpleasant descent of eroded screes to col - don't try and come up this way!nordicstar31/05/2014
