Cycled in from main carpark. East top is a short bash from the track. Tump baggers and view seekers are easing the way through the short section after track ends, bit of a path even, i found a drainage channel which helped as well, was easier than expected or as others had it when trees first fell. 2 fences to climb after forest, and cattle in lower field. But very much worth it for the views, good day. | hils | 01/04/2024 |
Across dam onto forestry tracks, over E. top. Afterwards there was no track, only a wet obstacle course of closely planted and fallen trees. Gartcarron Hill itself was a fine viewpoint with the Luss hills and others covered in new snow to ~450m. | Kompass | 25/02/2024 |
After the east top. Definitely not easy going due to fallen trees and boggy underfoot. A relief to find my way back to the track and east top. Rain! | Buck | 21/02/2024 |
P Todholes, signs of logging on main track but no activity, only the last few metres are a battle, lovely views today; back along for East top. | agentmancuso | 07/04/2023 |

After the east top. Mostly easy going westward as path goes part of the way. Last bit is pretty horrid. Return harder as it is not easy finding the easiest way from the west. Some unspeakable idiots had attempted to cut down a Scots pine for a fire. Great view from top. Lots of snow on the bigger hills. | fasgadh | 07/05/2021 |

From locked gate on B822 Crow Road and by forestry track beneath Dungoil to edge of forest and up to Allanrowie East Top. Returned over Dungoil and on to Gartcarron Hill and GHET. A satisfying round but finding track to GHET was slightly problematic. | lordtonult | 06/03/2021 |

Route east to Gartcarron East is harder than it looks on the map. Break is blocked by fallen trees, full of new growth and boggy. | 49pp | 26/06/2020 |

From lay-by along B822 to SW. Easy stroll over a wooden bridge to top, which had a tractor and driver on it. | summitter | 20/08/2018 |
Pleasant short walk from parking place at edge of forest | hillsman | 24/07/2018 |
Parked at the entrance to the Dungoil forest road. Walked up the road and path through grass and flowers to Dungoil's summit, then reversed the route, walked a little way up the Crow Road and across the bridge and through a gate to the summit of Gartcarron Hill. A badger shuffled nonchalantly across my path near the summit. | Nick Down1 | 28/06/2018 |
parked layby forest edge, forest now mostly cut, atv track some of the way. | robertphillips | 09/01/2018 |

Pleasant little hill from parking at edge of forest. On to Dungoil | Thearlaichdubh | 04/01/2017 |
As everyone else, from SE parking at forest edge. Follow soggy track to bridge and ford over stream / ditch. Uphill to another gate in fence, then left, N, to summit. A great viewpoint for such little effort. | Minto | 01/01/2017 |
