Horseshoe of Girron Burn, as described in SMC Grahams guidebook.davidpettit8414/10/2023
From Meall nan Caorach. Straight down and up the fence line. Only a boot's length from treading on a mountain hare in the heather, it shot off like a bullet, presumably was protecting leverets. Back down the fence line to the main track and easily back past Girron where I made friends with the three most friendly sheep dogs ever, out with the farmer in his 4x4.Owen B26/04/2023
Ascent from Corrymuckloch on A822 via 4x4 track to Lochan Grainie to Meall Reamhar.raymooremanx21/01/2023
Parked in wide area at entrance to Girron. Came up over Creag Liath, following the double electric fence. With Mntainman.Dangerous Dave03/12/2022
From Girron road end with FY. Creag Liath, Meall Reamhar, Meall nan Caorach and Creag Ghorm. No views, mist and drizzle throughout.TRG31819/10/2022
Ample space for considerate parking close to the fence at the start of the track to Girrion. Girrion itself is now boarded up and deserted. Did same walk as Pwbellarby and others.Ben Rinnes01/08/2022
MMC walk with Iain Wison. Followed SMC guidebook round. Lovely sunny day. 4 1/2 hours.alexmaclennan10/04/2022
Hard work in soft snow on top of heather and tussocky grass. No cloud on approach to summit. I was moving too slowly so abandoned my initial plan to climb Meall nan Caorach too and returned down the track. The descent from the summit was steep and tricky in the soft snow The fence was a useful handrail literally and figuratively.langskill11/02/2022
2/3 Biked up from Girron road end, walked from high point. Cold, cold breeze, icy puddles, smattering of snow on ground. Big muir burn over at loch. Rounsfell25/11/2021
Circuit of tops from Amulree.thekirkie pirate17/11/2021
loop from the end of the track, space for one car, otherwise Amulree isn't far. Round of 5 hills, Creag Bhiorach, Creag Ghorm, Meall nan Caorach, Meall Reamhar, Creag Liath. good track to start and lots of animal tracks to follow. a bit rough going from the last top back to the path, but not too bad. 11km in 2.5hrsNicky C14/11/2021
Mountain biked in from Girron up the highest point on track. Couple of pushes on the way but very rideable even in the wet we had overnight. Did Meall nan Caorach first, before dropping back to track and following wire fence up to cloudy summit before returning as I had come to my bike and a speedy descent back to the car.robphys23/10/2021
Parked at Amulree village hall, then up track past Girron. Just before it starts to climb, by gate, struck off S onto tops and round to cairn. Descended following fence & up to Meall nan Caorach.MichaelF28/09/2021
From Girron with Meall nan Caorach. Descended on stalkers' tracks to W.quadbarrel12/11/2020
Parked - carefully - 2 miles N of Newton Bridge and followed the asphalt track SE then NE towards Creag Liath, and the fence to Meall Reamhar. Descending involved a comical encounter with a double electric fence SE of MR: rolling under the first, two strand fence, then wriggling between two non-electrified strands of the second fence.Nick Down115/03/2020
Meall nan Caorach and Meall Reamhar from Amulree village hall car park. Given the low cloud and damp conditions, easiest-looking out-and-back routes taken, rather than a circuit that would have had merit in better conditions. Write-up at: http://gayleybird.blogspot.com/2019/10/meall-nan-caorach-nn928338-624m-and.htmlGayle17/10/2019
From Amulree, cylced down A822 to Girron track, then along track to ca 1km past Girron, continuing S to ridge of Creag Liath, along to Meall Reamhar (an unpleasent double electric fence along much of this), descended steeply NE to track then directly up Meall nan Caorach, NW to Creag Ghorm, descending W to track, return to Girron and Amulreekdbennett05/10/2019
A much better walk than it looks from the roadside. No problem parking at the end of the track to Girron. Up the track to just before the final steepening before the bealach and cut across to climb the N side of Meall Reamhar on easy grassy sheep tracks. Down along the fence and up to Meall nan Caorach. Easily down the NW spur to the track. Great to be back in Perthshire on these nice grassy hills with so many wild flowers hidden in the grass.Gill03/07/2019
Now descend then ascent up to Meall nan Caorach.smocks and denims27/03/2019
Starting along the farm track then cut diagonally up to top of Meall Reamhar, across to climb steeply to its twin, Meall nan Caereach, along the ridge to Creag Gorm and back to the track.dickscroop03/01/2019
Easy round including the neighbouring Graham from Amulree. A cold and overcast Mayday.Roblex01/05/2018

With Dave Roeder. Parked on A822 by entrance to Girron (10:00). Crossed stream before farm (I fell in!), followed track to wall which blocks it and then ridge to top before crossing bealach to Meall nan Caorach. A formidable double electric fence is under construction which will apparently extend over both summits. From Meall nan C followed ridge for abt 1k before descending to track in valley. Finish 13:50. Chilly and windy with some sun.dbb24/04/2018

Solo. Using track that goes past Girron. Much work hereabouts in connection with Beauly - Denny power line. From col between Meall Reamhar and Meall nan Caorach to summit of Meall Reamhar keeping close to fence. Back down to col and on to Meall nan Caorach and Creag Ghorm. There is no feature at highest point of Creag Ghorm with a cairn 100m further N which is lower.pwbellarby24/05/2015
Parked at 903357 where there is plenty of space. Along the track to the col and then S.W to the summit - 70 mins. Then over to Meall nan Caorach. With GB.bolton22/05/2015
Parked in wide gateway off A822 at NN90355 35588 – Along farm road to Girron & then picked up excellent track & headed SE up to col – Meall Reamhar & back down to col – Meall nan Caorach & then NNW towards Creag Ghorm before dropping back down to track. (PM)gerrybowes22/05/2015

Parked at Amulree village hall. No road parking at track due to placed boulders/fence at roadsides. Cut off from track to farm building at ford and ATV track leading onto hill and Creag Liath. On to Meall Reamhar than onward circuit on to other Graham and tops.nordicstar07/12/2013
