On a trip to Canna organised by the Relative Hills Society and using a RIB from Elgol. On a side track towards An Coroghon and up a small valley below Compass Hill. Over a fence and across the moorland to the trig point and the nearby high point of Carn a' Ghaill. Descent on a narrow path southwards, going a little east of Allt Lag a' Ghriumadeal and passing the campsite. Refreshments at the nice café with other members. | pwbellarby | 25/05/2023 |

A bit sad to get a wet, windy, misty day for this walk but it was good anyway. From Tighard along the lovely path to Coroghon Barn for a look at the prison and the black beach then up along the fence on an ATV track, E through the gate, track peters out below Compass Hill. Back W, around the crags on sheep tracks, then an ATV track. Interesting map and compass navigation around all the bumps to find the cliffs, but easy to follow the cliff path/sheep track to the 2 inlets, then rough stuff to Carn a' Ghaill and down W to the next inlet, where the path reappears along the fence. A couple of ups and steep descents, then cut down to the souterrains, much easier going on a path down to the track. A great walk back on the track above dykes of hexagonal basalt columns on the seaward side with detour for closer inspection, basalt cliffs above. Back to Tighard on the old path across the campsite and then following the wall. | Gill | 16/06/2022 |

Up from A'Chill, through the pass to east of hill, past the abandoned shepherds dwellings. West from top of pass across boggy plateau, feels a lot harder than distance and height suggests. Super views back to Rum! | Columba | 06/06/2012 |
Trig revisit. Super island - world class. Calmac on a Saturday gets you 8 hours ashore - barely enough to cover Canna and Sanday. Visited S9737 too plus a dozen assorted summits. | RHW | 19/05/2012 |
The Terrier and the F.C. had disembarked for the Rum Cuillin. From pier, track to P.O. then wander up pasture and then tussocky grass, over to summit Cairn and Trig. Great views. With S. | The Captain | 10/04/2010 |
Also 23/07/2011. | bolton | 02/08/2009 |
Wakled some of the way with mum and dad, then strode off north-eastwards on own. A scorching day which made walking on such terrain uncomfortable. Great views from summit though. | Skerryvore | 28/06/2009 |
Heard 3 corncrakes in day, but did not see one. Past an empty house to upper terrace through 2 red rock bands to top. 12.00. Vanessa 9738. 3 rocks 10 yards away on higher point. | arranc | 24/05/2008 |
