Bus to gateway into Salen Forest near Garmony. Hydro track leads to water intake and gate onto open land above felled forest.Super weather. Continued form Beinn Mheadhan to Beinn Thunacaraidh and Dun da Ghaoithe. Back to campsite via mast track and road. With B and R.jenx18/07/2023

With Stephen and Robert from Craignure out through Torosay Woods then up to masts on decent tracks. Path pretty much all the way thereafter with a strange desire to go left before the trig (easy going from trig to top). On return took grass descant rather then the corner.SS04/06/2023

Penultimate Corbett, only Clisham remains. From Sgurr Dearg. Descended from Sgurr Dearg to the bad step, a narrow chimney probably only 5 or 6 metres high. Straightforward in dry conditions, nothing much to hold on to, but plenty of high friction rock for boots, knees, hands etc. Then an easy descent to the col, then up steep grassy slopes mostly avoiding the scree. Bagged the minor top, then over the attractive, easy summit ridge to the summit. Returned to the col contouring a little below the minor top, then up to the 600m contour on Sgurr Dearg, then contoured south west aiming for point 608, impressively the government emergency test signal received while doing so, rising slightly to avoid the worst of the scree and emerging at about the 630m contour. Then straight back down to the car at Torness.Owen B23/04/2023

An anticlockwise bag of Beinn Mheadhon, Beinn Thunicaraidh and Dun da Ghaoithe. It was only once we had crashed through the forest, as endured by others, and started to gain height did we see the new track constructed to build the new hydro system. Using the details below will make your circuit of these three hills much easier! Park at NM6794539696 and head up the track to junction and turn right at NM6793439629. Follow track to a junction at NM6757039487 and head west / up hill. Track twists along to at junction at NM6787539164 turn right and follow track to dam at NM6690638856. Then bag your Simms / Marilyn.BaggerGutt26/04/2022
