From WNW. parking by gate to asphalt heaps, then making a peaceful but watery detour to the north of the caravans and woodland before turning south to the summit and two alternatives. Black ponies in a field and roe deer running past me twice. My Clackmannanshire tump completion.Nick Down111/02/2024
As vegibagger. Good views of the Ochills.Campbell Singer16/07/2023

Approach from track off road to the NE another fairly useless high point flat lands but a nice Focus for a walk and another tick on a listvegibagger07/06/2023
In from W. Parked in small layby opposite 7 Cow wood. Through gate, up field edge and faint path through wood. 2 fences to summit. Down past Cairnmuir service reservoir (lots of barking - maybe a kennels) & Meeks Park. This felt a bit like we were trespassing, but never saw a sole. We're probably on their CCTV though.Lynnebe23/04/2023
Much of Cow Wood has been blocked by wind-blown trees so approached the hill from the rush strewn field to its north. The specific summit point is hard to determine ... I favoured a slightly proud tussock.summitter25/04/2022
Parked at small layby about halfway between Easter Sheardale and Cow Wood. Is another nearer road junction to N.duchally21/02/2022

Such a monumental waste of time. Nasty Hill. Easiest from West, park in either of the laybys on the minor road, walk up to the gate close to the forest, into field, which may have cows and could be wet. It is very overgrown, but you can thread patches of of shorter grass. At the field corner cross into the forest and pick up faint path parallel to the fence line but inside forest. Once at the E edge cross fence and diagonally cross this field to another gate into the next one. The gate is adjacent to the one exiting south in that field and is just a short walk from the pylon and summit. Return the same way.Belfarm 13/09/2021
From the west. The pylon line has been settled with huts caravans etc. Used field and then followed a path on north side of the wood. All fences currently step overs. The fields are very wet looking but this was a long dry spell so no probs. No livestock today.fasgadh23/04/2021

Started walk from just S of Blairingone on P&K side of county boundary. All 3 undulations visited - pylon, wood and open tussocky area.Lindsay M28/03/2021

From the West under the pylon line. There is a collection of residential caravans complete with white vans and a barking untethered alsatian dog. Returned by the North of the woodland and a very waterlogged field to avoid dog contact.NormanW25/10/2020
From the west along track on north side of clearing under pylons. HP appears to be under or just east of a pylon at 96175 95652 but I agree that ground further south east may be higher. More LiDAR data from the Scottish Government would help solve this one.Topographer5731/10/2019
From W under the pylons. There is a faint track on N edge of pylons wood. Alternative summit to SE definitely feels highest of the three.Thearlaichdubh21/10/2019
Visited both possible summit areas. Highest GPS reading was somewhere under line of pylons.russell6124/02/2019

Parked at track entrance to the west, visited 3 possible high points below pylons, in woods and outside woods further NE.robertphillips28/02/2017
Through Aberdeen and Back Woods. Visited both contours but no idea of actual summit.chrisbien06/09/2015
From WSW, also visited the alternative summit location to SE. On way back noticed the scrubby woodland immediately NE of farm is obviously higher than the pasture to its N (although at S edge of 125 contour and looks lower on map), and likely the summit. Bagged, whatever.RHW25/04/2015

Parked at the pylons but walked up the field to the highest point. It is marked by a water board access manhole. WARNING- Bulls, Geese and Sheep around the farm.Play2End19/02/2015
