Parked at Innerwick 3/3 for the dayFellhugger12/09/2023
With John from Meggernie Estate car park (handy toilets). A rain day hill, we took the track almost all the way to the hut - just before that a small cairn marks a faint path through the heather onto a short 180m ascent up to the ridge, and then a walk over to the summit. Returned the same route. We stayed dry until we were just about onto the ridge, and then the heavens opened so full waterproofs were deployed. No views from the summit. Total time: 3h 8min.mproudfoot16/07/2023
Time includes 25mins dosing at second summit. Loop from dam to S of Meall Buidhe and CC. At top of MB in 1h 15m, but rough going over to CC. Morton's bothering me in both feet. Warm, still (sometimes dead calm) day with weak hazy sunshine, intensifying late afternoon. Set off 2pm. Rounsfell28/05/2023
In mist. A lot of false summits!davechaffey02/12/2022
Meall a' Mhuic, Beinn Dearg and Cam Chreag from Innerwick.rhalstead13/09/2022
With Sue from Innerwick. Used bikes as far as Corie Odhar before steep estate track to hut then walk to summit via SW track to ridge then N to summit Cam Chreag. Decent to above Innerwick and river crossing to steeply ascend track after leaving bikes near river through woods to open hill and E to summit of Beinn Dearg. Return same way to bikes and ride back to start. Excellent views but getting hot.Frank12/07/2022

The ascent of Corbetts Cam Chreag and Beinn Dearg from Innerwick. Also visiting, Meall nam Maigheach and Creag Ard. 26km with 1500m ascent in 8h 40m. (S)silveracorn_alan30/05/2021
We took the track from Innerwick car park to the tin shed, then up the narrow path through the heather to the top of Cam Chreag. It was a lovely day, so rather than reverse the route we followed the declining ridge to Creagan nan Gobhar then continued through flush, heather, deer fence and new pine woodland to the road just west of Gallin. The road walk back to Innerwick was rather nice in the afternoon spring sunshine. 4 hrs total.summitter21/03/2021
Usual route from Innerwick. Good track then found the eroded path through the heather to the summit ridge.Owen B21/09/2020
Improvised circuit from Innerwick. Along the Meggernie estate track to just before the tin shed, forking left on the rough landrover track and on to the summit ridge. Having reached Cam Chreag, the panoramic views, encouraged me to carry on along the SW ridge, over Creagan nan Gobhar. Excellent walking to that point, but the going deteriorates after the deer fence, where heather and tussocks conceal numerous holes. Back along the glen road to Innerwick.Nick Down120/06/2020

Circuit from Innerwickrjf3501/08/2018
The best of the hills we'd done for the first time this week. More open views and not hemmed in so much by nearby hills, a great view over Loch Rannoch and Rannoch Moor. We came up Coire Odhar and the SE ridge which gave us a nice high level mile, returned down the slopes to the E to the shed- evidently the usual way- and were tempted by the path to go up Meall nam Maigheach before returning to Innerwick, quick walking down a good track. Innerwick has a large car park for Glen Lyon. With Petepwheeler01/06/2018
Walk up the track from Innerwick. good views towards rannoch moorNozzer14/05/2018
Biked down from tent further west then from NW a round of Cross Creag, a bit longer than planned as had to follow track round, could not get through forest, then easily south on ridge to Cam Creag. Then a big detour S as no feasible descent line to east from ridge due to remains of cornice and no axe with me. Meall nam Maighreach, the 640m+ subSimm and Meall nam Sac and back to approach track.dickscroop21/04/2018
Solo, from Meggernie car park. Grateful this morning for the nicely maintained toilets! Left the track to the 754m point on the ridge. Easy walk to the summit. Back to the cairn on Ben Meggernie (662m) with easy descent back to the track afterwards.Dangerous Dave14/04/2018
From Innerwick, long walk on track and followed by boggy and cloudy weather, damp and dreary top eventually reached.Jhimmy10/06/2017

Creag Ard, Beinn Dearg, Meall a' Mhuic, Meall nam Maigheach and Cam Chreag from Innerwick. Spell of rain during second half of the route, but earlier some good views acorss to Lawers and Tarmachan range.RobertP06/08/2016
With ES by the usual route via the track to just before the shed and then up to the ridge. Mainly dry but still cold enough for gloves and hat at the top - July.Roblex12/07/2016
Veryhappybunny29/05/2016
An afternoon stroll in between heavy rain. The standard route from the track was all snowed up, thawing and not looking nice, so I went onto the ridge earlier. This gives a bog trot, a climb up a steep, heathery nose, and then a really nice walk along the ridge/plateau which should not be missed (forget the standard route, which misses this). I headed up by the first sharp bend, but this isn't recommended, it just prolongs the bog trot. My descent route to the second sharp bend in the track is much easier, on dry, heathery drumlins/moraines.Gill01/05/2016

Ascended in good weather with terrible hangover. Great views to Schiehallion. Ascended after Meall Buidhe via Garbh Mheall and pt597 across rough tussocky and boggy ground (would probably be significantly worse following a spell of wet weather). Was going to take in Leagag and Cross Craigs, but hangover too severe to contemplate!raffemeister12/10/2014
my 100th Corbett. with Tess hill to ourselves. Quiet weather, very cold, soft snow above 2000ft. A great hill for views: B Alder, Lawers, Dorain, M Ghaordie. Up from Innerwick by track, descended towards Gallin. Ptarmigan and deer, no sheep.niallp25/11/2013

After Meall Buidhe and Stuchd an Lochain. A gentle and boring ascent - lots of heather and peat. Nice summit though. Alone with fantastic weather again.AGWilliamson25/07/2011
First of three north of Innerwick. A nice track leads most of the way to the summit, after that the heather and grass are short.Topographer5720/06/2011

Solo walk. From Innerwick. I walked westwards along the road to reach the main entrance to Meggernie Castle. I struck north up the hillside through youngish trees, following deer tracks – not difficult. I reached Ben Meggernie and went west and then NW to reach the summit of Cam Chreag. I returned the same way to begin with, but then went down the southern slopes of Coire Odhar, joining the track near Allt a’ Choire Uidhre low down. I followed the track to the road – treacherous with ice.pwbellarby03/01/1997
