Followed Bagger Gutt route, but better to take more direct line towards top, breaking away from ATV track as it heads left towards the lochan. With R and B.jenx23/07/2023
From forest track entrance (NM 5691 4236), parking for 1-2 cars without blocking the gate. Track to disused quarry, track leads off WSW then peters out, after which the ground was wet and tussocky. Not a nice walk, but lovely views.jonglew24/03/2023
Park at track entrance NM5691642353 and head along track to a sign post at NM5711141971. Turn right and then right again onto an ATV / scrambler track which takes you through the forest to NM5689141501. The ATV turns left and continues along the ridge towards the summit. A corner can be cut at NM5698340723 up a ride in the forest. Head for the summit for great views. Saw an eagle on the way down!BaggerGutt28/04/2022
Small cairn amongst level moss; other points also visited- hailing and very windy- could barely stand. Parked in track entrance S of Salen village.Denise 16/03/2020
From the N. Forest track to old overgrown quarry then grassy track to NM5719,4176. Easily up through open forest to grassy NNE shoulder. All straight forward apart from the gusting SE wing and driving rain. Hardly able to stand up on the summit.RichardM16/03/2020
From the mausoleum.PGCE24/02/2020
Route as jimbloomer.Chris Peart14/11/2019
Early morning thrash up from bend in road near mausoleum. Rhodedendron hell for 10 minutes then easy enough for the rest of the way. Good viewpoint.Thearlaichdubh06/05/2016
Just like Eddie, except Jim, Doug and I found a deer track through the non-native and then native trees. Assume the view from top is good.Martin R02/06/2015
Turned left into the forest about 50m before the mauseoleum, fairly easy going with no apparent access difficulties.jimbloomer02/06/2015
Walked to the mauseoleum then found an obvious wide path which was followed into the woodland then headed upwards after small quarry like area. Easily out onto open hillside via path then only a deer fence to climb before the summit with Martin Richardson and Jim Bloomer.Dugswell202/06/2015

From Mausoleum avoiding Rhododendrons to SE and after many re-tracings in undergrowth, grassy top. Note in diary: ,easier route up re-entrant' but no detail.Eddie04/09/2005
