Parked at Drumjohn and followed the forestry track to a newish track at NX5101397209 which gains the height on the hill. At its termination head North / left along the join of the new trees and felled area. As you approach the established trees turn right and pass through the trees to pick up a small ride which curves to the south side of the summit. The ride ends and you have about 20m hand to hand combat with dense trees. This will only get worse over the next few years, so bag soon!BaggerGutt07/10/2021
Parking at Green Wells of Scotland (NX 5574 9442). Through Garryhorn with mapped track then atv track leading well up on to Cairnsgarroch -> Meaul then continued along ridge to the 3 Bow tops -> Coran of Portmark -> Knockower -> Black Craig -> Craigencolon then across to here over rough tussocky ground then clear fell, this the stinker of today's 10 tops in immature conifers. Returned to logging road at NX 5081 9726 for an easy jaunt back to the road to collect bike and cycle 5km back to car.jonglew15/05/2021
1st hill on a North to Mid ridge traverse having had a lift from Carsphairn to Drumjohn then forest track to South climbing up beside forest edge to ride then summit area of newly planted spruce. Summit easy to locate as summit area small; in between 3 dense immature conifers. Back onto track heading for Craigencolon...Dazingdale20/04/2019
