With J. Started from the ruin on an overcast day with rain showers. Wandered round the lochan & then back to the car. Very soggy. A runner set off up the hill just as we returned to the car as the rain tonked it down. Clearly she knew something we didn't because 20 minutes later, the sun was out & it was (almost) tropical. A great wee hill for a short trip out.NotReallyABagger30/12/2017
Parked by ruin (5:35). Good path, dry after drought, to gate, round hill to loch behind and to ridge and top (6:00). Cairn was only 1 stone; added 4 more. Clear but hazy. Desc beyond road to loch to get 150m ascent. Finish 6:30dbb10/06/2016

A cold winter meant driving about the island was difficult and impossible on the minor roads. However a circuit of the crater lake was most enjoyable and we half expected the lake to slide back and a rocket to take off.mindlessflogger26/12/2010

Parked on the B8073 by the old building, enough room for two cars. From there there is a small path to the top. Completed a circuit with my 2 year old walking most of the way.garyhoney03/07/2008
Parked in quarry area by 3 lochs. On road to ruined cottage, stile over fence and WDP up through bracken by forest edge to lochan in the crater of the caldera. Around the south end of loch to top at 10.25.arranc29/08/2006
