Beinn Gaire and Croit Bheinn, camped by bridge 2km up from Glen Moidart road end. Route out very straightforward and pleasant. return by dropping down into Glen Moidart was not. It looked good from the top but after first km or so was tussocks, tussocks with bog, bog, tussocks with bog and more bog. Even final path marked on map was more bog than path.dickscroop31/08/2022
Parked Glenmoidart road end, followed track to Glen Forslan dam, then ascended slopes to 400-450m level, then on to top. Reckoned Croit Bheinn today would be too wearying so left it for another day / another route. Returned by slightly more west route to ruins of Glenforslan.willyross10/08/2022

An easy walk up Glen Moidart to Croit Bheinn over bone dry bogs. Even the bogs on the way to Beinn Gaire were more or less dry. Note: the descent from Beinn Gaire needs some care with the map work, and I ended up checking with a bearing, despite perfect visibility. The plateau is quite complex. Saw a beautiful healthy dog fox coming up the hill when I was coming down. Funnily enough he was disinclined to stop for a chat.Gill08/06/2018
