Car park by the ford. Ford was shallow enough to walk through without getting wet feet but there is a footbridge at the far end of the car park. Track up hill accessed via gate. At at second gate a track to the left runs to within 120m of summit. Good views including East and West Lomond and Schiehallion.PeteF11/08/2023

From car park south of ford ( nice n low) in Little Glenshee. Used estate track , through two huge gates with stile and a swing door. After second gate used grassy track which dribbled into a wee path and takes you pretty much to summit. Windy windy but managed to dodge torrential showers. Black faced ewes. Jackdaw. M pipit. Must be a managed estate for grouse shooting.VerySlowPlodder01/07/2023

From the car park south of the ford in Little Glenshee. Over footbridge to gate. Followed track almost to summit. Solo.Dangerous Dave30/06/2023
Superb views north across the full width of the southern Cairngorms. Up track from Little Glenshee, through upper gate then left and up gully to summit. Descent down north side to follow track back round to gate, avoiding the worst of the burnt heather. Cut off zig zag corner on lower section of tarck on descent.SpudGunn11/03/2023

From Little Glenshee on totally still day, overcast, lots of very new lambs. After doing two days of WHW with Squiz. Rounsfell01/05/2022
Good parking on the south side of the ford. Very enjoyable easy walk on good tracks almost to the summit, returning by the same route.martin_hall10/04/2022

Clockwise round of Creag na Criche, Creag Liath, Carn Tuile, Drum Tick and Formal Hill. Up the track from the car park. New-looking pedestrian gates now make the massive stiles redundant. Followed tracks all the way to N of the summit. Sadly very misty so no views.Minto22/12/2021
As per nick downs, but started in the car park. After work bag. Wanted to do them all, but time was against me. Think this is a place to visit more often. Stunning views all around and nice to see the rain affecting different parts of the tay valley and beyond. 1 hr 30 5 kmNicky C09/09/2021

A delightful walk on a sunny April day. Parked opposite stile, followed track to second stile, then grassy 4WD track onto ridge and towards summit. A baggers' path follows a grassy strip steeply through heather to the summit from the NE. Extensive views.Nick Down116/04/2021

Parked south of ford in sunshine (15:55), crossed bridge, road and first stile. Easy route up fence to cut off the big zigzag, then followed track to 2nd stile. Then path curved round north of hill past shooting butts leaving only a short steep thrash through deep heather to the summit. Intermittent sun. Nice hill. Finish 17:35.dbb05/07/2020

Parking at the end of road to Little Glenshee. Best not follow the track north but walk up the road west to avoid the deer fence, especially if you have a dog. Then head north to the top. Look out for blackcock, I saw at least 20, what a sight.Simon Winton04/01/2020
Creag na Criche from the ford-side car park then we continued northwards up the track to Moine Folaich and then (although not on my map) westwards to almost the top of Creag Liath. Returned via Glen Shee. Nice pre-Crimbo circular walk.summitter22/12/2019

Signs prohibiting parking at start of track, NN987340, but good parking on S side of ford, with footbridge over, NN988339. On good tracks to about NN985353, then straight up - the wet moss beneath the heather was extremely slippery.Isbjorn05/06/2019

From car park next to Shochie Burn. Followed the track until the gradient begins to level out; then climbed over the fence at a rare strainer post and then climbed up steep ground with deep heather to the summit. Returned via a similar route, but short-cut the zig zag in the track on grassy ground remaining adjacent to the fence (this is probably a better ascent route)raffemeister26/04/2018

Great spot for campervan at carpark next to ford. Took direct line up from the track, didn't see second stile but found handy holes cut in deer fence making it easy to climb over. Some nasty thick heather below the summit, otherwise a pure delight.AndrewFinnimore01/12/2017
A lovely walk in the sun, clear, cold, wonderful views. Followed my nose up the track and an ATV track after the second stile. This leads easily through the various knolly tops, up close to the top, though overshot a bit (maybe I should get a GPS). A more direct descent.Gill10/11/2017
Parked in the small carpark by the ford as previously mentioned and used the footpath over the bridge thus avoiding walking through the quite high water over the ford. I was pleased that there was a dog friendly stile as I had wondered if I was going to have to carry the dog over in my arms which may have been a challenge. Just followed the track initially before cutting out a loop by sticking by the fence, at the second stile there is a path to the top before the final heathery climb. For such a small hill the viewpoint was really impressive.Peterb03/10/2017
Good parking at 987340. 2 high stiles over the deer fence make things easier. After the second a visible path on the left goes to within 100 metres of the summit. Solo. 80 minutes.bolton18/09/2017

Solo. Nice wander up path from NN 987 341. Good stiles in place over fences. It is worth keeping to the track until you have climbed the second stile. A path then leads up to the shooting butts and round towards the summit. Pleasant walk in the sun.assynt_bob30/05/2016

Solo. Used track that goes off from sharp bend in road where another track goes off to Little Glenshee. Recent work done on track. Track continues through a gate in high deer fence. Then not far to summit where there is cairn on rocky knoll. Heathery knoll to east looks lower.pwbellarby23/05/2015

after Ben Clach. Carpark before the ford at little Glen Shee and pedestrian bridge. Just follow your nose upwards. Fence is easier to cross from E to W. On way down easy to recross near the quarry. Fine little hill in a place you wouldn't ever go to.Thearlaichdubh29/12/2013

Flew back from Ecuador day before to Edinburgh - emergency dental visit then Perth YH. Climbed this hill 'in error' thinking it was a marilyn- not a sub-marilyn, but happy to see it got promoted to marilyn status ten years later. Did Knock of Crieff and then met Darren at 3pm for an awfully muggy drizzly midgey ridiculously late afternoon / evening attempt to climb Raven Gully on Buachaille Etive Mor in Glencoe. Abseil retreat before dark-just - road at 11.40pm - camped with no time / energy for supper and too midgey.Chris Pearson12/08/1999
