2 of 2: From Beinn Ghlas. With Karen.ChrisR23/06/1994
With a friend. We left my car at NTS Visitor Centre on Ben Lawers and went in the other car to Lawers village. Walked up the path on the east and NE side of Lawers Burn. Climbed steeply up the SSE ridge of Meall Garbh. The summit ridge is a small semicircle. From the summit of Meall Garbh we continued to An Stuc, meeting a largish party at the bottom of the steep ascent to An Stuc. They warned of slippery and loose rock. It was misty and damp and this is how it continued until near the end of the walk. From An Stuc we continued to Creag an Fhithich, Ben Lawers and Beinn Ghlas before descending to the Visitor Centre.pwbellarby10/10/1993
On the Roro horseshoe, a magnificent circuit over all the Munros on the horseshoe starting from Camusvrachan in Glen Lyon. This meant no Meall Greigh this time-too much of a diversion on a 15 mile, 9h 10 min day. We had views, sunshine, and cloud floating on and off the tops as there was a huge cloud inversion to the S, as far as we could see. Careful to phone about stalking days. Climbed this one with a political friend. Saw a good number of walkers huddling around in the cloud at the top, trying to find some shelter inside the cloud from the fairly cold weather. For a (perverse) laugh, stripped off my jacket, jersey and shirt, strode up, and bid everyone a great day!spstrachan01/09/1985

Alone. From Invervar. After ascending Meall Greigh, Meall Garbh, An Stuc, and Creag an Fhithich. Went on to Ben Lawers, Beinn Ghlas, Meall Corranaich, and Meall a Choire Leith. I went down by Corrie Ban and a path (not shown on my map) to the east of Allt a Chobhair. Thence by path to south of River Lyon and back to Inverar. Fine, becoming cloudy and windy.
