Made the mistake of coming up South of Torphin Quarry. Stone wall and barb wire fence stopped me about 100m short of the summit by the phone mast. Dropped down to Clubbiedean Reservoir and went up from there.tsharp01/12/2023
From Heriot Watt university. Fine views from the top.cjwilliams19/09/2023
Quick stop on way home. Up from lower carpark. Numerous good paths. Torduff reservoir looking very pretty with it's steep heathery slopes.Lynnebe19/08/2023

A short late afternoon walk from Torphin Road. First time visit to this area. Possibilities of bus walk from No10 terminus in Torphin Road into the Pentlands.langskill21/03/2021
On walk from Bonaly to Torphin via Torduff and Clubbiedean reservoirs. Very muddy at Easter Kinleith farm. Excellent viewpoint.Thearlaichdubh26/11/2020
Makes into a good circular walk round Torduff and Clubbiedean reservoirs then Colinton villageHirta28/08/2020
The hill was a WWII Starfish Decoy site - where fires were burnt at night to try to attract emeny bombers away from nearby Edinburgh. Visited on a 4 tump walk with L from Bonaly County Park. The gem of the hill being the narrow craggy gorge, small reservoir, and sub-tump of Torduf Hill.Back at the car we craned our necks upwards at 4 linesmen working high up on the power line tower and cables. Seems like the power can still be live as they rely on the faraday cage effect for safety - surely not?Chris Pearson14/07/2020
From Blinkbonny via the Poets Glen woods then Torphin track/path.N.Morters08/06/2020
Up from Torphin. Nice wee walk.sclater02/02/2020
From Torphin. Along the path to Easter Kinleith, detouring to the hill about half way along, then returning via the disused golf course. Superb views to Edinburgh and the Forth.summitter03/01/2020
Up from Torphin Road from water pipeline construction works. Pass a couple of CCTV cameras into the site of a recently closed golf course. Good paths lead to just east of the summit, where the derelict land gives way to sheep pasture. Very fine viewpoint. Return via steep descent to path on the north side.fasgadh24/07/2019
Parked at End of Torphin Road, through gate to Easter Kinleith and followed track/path west then south then east to the top. Blowing a ‘hoolie’ on top today but rather good views.Jubilado27/01/2019
Heading back to Bonaly C.P. Nice wee hill next to mast.Play2End10/11/2018

From torphin road end path then up left at gate under power lines.robertphillips20/12/2017
From ne, Torphin, as others. Nice easy scenic walkRHW11/12/2016
No 10 bus from West End to Torphin, then walk along side of quarry until gorse diminished enough to head up to the ridge with its fine mast. A large tree obscures the view over Edinburgh but I could see the 2.95 Forth bridges rising above the mist on the Forth. A <2 hour round trip from the West End.Thearlaichdubh05/12/2016
I drove along Woodhall Road, then robbed Woodhall Bank before turning into Torphin Road to park before using the right of way to gain the sheep pasture to the west of the quarry. No walls or fences were climbed to bag this TUMP.Dugswell214/02/2015
walk from the road end and then turn left and up.Adrian14/02/2015
Quick route on track from west through muddy farmyard, well used by walkers, no problem (met farmer), but would be a better walk from east. Good viewpoint.alda08/01/2015
P Torphin. Along path then steeply up by wall to Aerial mast and summit a little SW.chrisbien31/08/2014
