From Corrachaive as described in SMC guidebook. Unmapped zigzagging path to Mid Hill very helpful but could not locate the upper part of it in descent, even leaving the forest edge at the correct location, helpfully taped by others!davidpettit8408/04/2023
Like others (thanks!), parked in pull-in just up from Corrachavie, up forest track to small cairn just after the quarry and then up (surprisingly) well used track to hill side. Then whoo-hoo loads of fresh snow! Steep snow plod up to summit. Clear air and fine views in all directions, particularly of Arran and Jura hills. Descent down Mid Hill broadly following old fence line to Cruach Nuran. 4.5 hrs walking but lots of stops!MichaelF26/03/2023
Parked at Inverchaolain Church. Walked up past Stronyaraig. Once through the forestry gates, left the track at a small quarry and followed deer fence uphill. Through gate in fence at first bend then up Sron Dearg. Nice ridge walk to trig and then up to summit. Solo.Dangerous Dave15/03/2023

Route to Cruach nan Capull alone as per kdbennett. Zigzag track up from either edge of quarry is surprisingly boggy with a few fallen trees, but is a definite good way to climb through the forest.willyross18/07/2022

Parked in large layby at NS099822, walked into road to Corrachaive, left across river, and along forest road (under reconstruction) to where it crosses Midhill Burn (with new roadstone quarry), into forest along W edge of quarry to an overgrown but surprisingly good track that zigzagged SW up slopes to forest edge, then directly up Mid Hill ridge, turning S and ascending Cruach na Capull, up a gully, to summit, descended E of gully back to ridge following fence line down to wet and boggy col, ascended along Cruach Neuran Burn to beyond forest, then more northerly to E ridge of Cruach Neuran to summit, descended down ridge, entering forest E of the burn, easy going through trees, lucked upon an old vehicle track which continued SE down to the forest road at NS096809, thence back by outward route (4h55m)kdbennett12/07/2022

Circuit from Corrachaive of Cruach nan Capull and Cruach Neuran. Col between the hills was not too spongy. Descent via Cruach Neuran Burn.vuirich15/07/2021

Continuation from Cruach Neuran via an easy gap through the trees to Mid Hill and up the north ridge. Some spongy bog in the col area, otherwise easy going. Returned to Glen Lean via forest tracks near the Blackcraig Burn, much of the forest now felled.alda10/04/2021
Bad news. Inverchaolain Glen is new forestry, large area enclosed by a wobbly deer fence built of bendy wire. Worse still, the new trees are boring spruce at normal density but planted using holes instead of trenches. Part of Bolton's track has been wrecked in this way though still passable (for now). The good news is that there's a gate at approx. 960 768; the ATV track continues towards a big landslip, obliterated here but continues for easy walking in the sun, crunchy snow, frozen bogs, almost to Cruach nan Capull. Pleasant enough over Leacann nan Gall, but Black Craig was nasty - softening snow, thawing bogs. Descent was vile, from 111 754, to follow the outside of the fence, v. steep, climb at a strainer where it heads uphill, steep down tussocks, bogs, dead bracken, avoiding the gorse and then getting mixed up with planting holes close to the new track on the E side of the glen. Note: looks worse closer to Inverchaolain plus extra deer fence.Gill06/12/2020
From Stronyaraig up the nose, Cruach nan Capull, Leacann nan Gall, then back to the church via an old unmarked track with good bridges on the riverside.sclater25/09/2020

Followed 'bolton's route as below though there is a new deer fence running across the hill now at about 300/350m that needs to be climbed.49pp20/01/2020

2 of 2: From Cruach Neuran. Forest breaks not obvious from above so returned to the col and followed to C.N.burn down to the forestry track.ChrisR02/10/2019

Parked by Inverchaolain church and took standard route N via Sron Dearg to reach Cruach nan Capull. Started raining at this point. Continued to Leacann nan Gall and descending close to Beallach na Sreine to join track down Inverchaolain Glen. Breezy, and warm for FebruaryRobertP23/02/2019

Parked at Inverchaolain church. Followed the track past Stronyaraig and up Inverchaolain Glen. At 102765 (Just over one mile and 500 feet altitude) an ATV track leads easily and quickly to the ridge. 2 hours to the summit and then on to Leacann nan Gall.bolton06/09/2018
MMC walk with Fraser, Malcolm and new guy Cameron. Dry overcast day. We came up the track to Leacann na Gall and onto Cruach na Capull. Retraced our steps when we met Fraser who made it to the top. 6 hours.alexmaclennan08/07/2018
Solo. Parked at the entrance to the churchyard at Inverchaolain. Went north on the road a little way and then past Stronyaraig. Walked north to go up the hillside to Sron Dearg. It was very hot and the going tough as there was much bracken and heather. I joined an ATV track that rises up from Coire nam Bruach. I wish I had known about this track as it would have provided an easier route up the hill. I followed the track north up the ridge to reach the trig point at point 572m and the summit of Cruach nan Capull. Returned over Leacann nan Gall.pwbellarby07/06/2018
After Beinn Ruadh then lunch at Benmore Garden café, did this as per SMC guide from Corrachaive path start on A815. Worked fine, but path in 2nd half of forest is not so much overgrown as very boggy. Just beginning to clear at summit.IanHHill15/05/2018
