From south end of north section of loop road. Through one gate and over one wall by line of trees. Domed grassy summit. Superb views. Parked at north end of south section by railway sidings.Denise 29/09/2022
Roadside parking and field gate just into the Glen Mona loop road (SC 45618 87565). Followed wall up, through another gate, then diagonally SE to wall corner, over that then into what seemed common land.jonglew28/09/2022
8th tump of 11 on a 43km circular from Ballure, climbing North Barrule, Beinn Reinn, Claugh Ouyr, Slieau Managh, Snaefell, Slieau Lhean and Slieau Ouyr, descending over Slieau Ruy, then following Southern side of the upper reaches of Glen Dhoon, with a brief foray in the glen before dropping down to the road and then the proper entrance to the Glen, dropping down all the way to the cove at Dhoon Bay. I then scrambled up the broken rock face before encountering some hideous gorse with no seemingly possible way through. It was a case of prising open the gorse jaws and squeezing through. Eventually I arrived at a heathery field and on the other side was a herd of cattle that allowed me passage but just until I marked the summit at 210m @ SC 46177 87345 continuing on but then having to run to prevent the herd from crowding around me. I headed N then descended Nw to drop onto a minor lane to head over to Cashtal Yn Ard and then into Ballaglass Glen heading for Ballajora Hill...Dazingdale21/07/2018
