From car park at 06454 55672 up to unusual memorial to the planting of the forest twice - once in 1830 and once after WWI. | clivevilla | 24/11/2023 |
Pete gave up driving to the car park N of the hill as the road to the W was in a state of disrepair. So we parked at the track to Cae weirglodd (SJ 049547) and walked E along the forest track, then RoW in a ride up to the pleasant top with its massive memorial. Good views E but it was a hazy afternoon; decent approach. | pwheeler | 22/03/2022 |

Llys y Frenhines & Cefn Du from the memorial car park to N with Rufus. Simple trail to Llys y Frenhines then tracks W to Cefn Du path junction. Old rutted tracks after 50m or so SW lead to high point. | jacobrichmond | 07/07/2020 |

Short walk up just as it started snowing so no real views and didn't hang around. Bagging YSM basically. | Walker Dan | 22/01/2017 |
Easy enough walk up a forest track with only the last 250m being steep. Nice monument at the top as well. Lovely blaeberries to munch on! | thejackrustles | 05/08/2016 |
Parked at the beginning of a forest track at SJ 06584 55705. There is, in fact, better parking 100m west up the lane at SJ 06451 55668. Took forest track SSE for 200m, then narrow path SW through the forest. This brought me onto the track round the hill, near to the RoW to the summit. Walk continued to Cefn Du. | Man of Kernow1 | 21/06/2015 |
