Didn’t need to take car across as estate track couple of hundred metres from ferry jetty. Tracks to about 724472 then boggy across to ridge. Not as much boulders & scree as I remember for previous Paps. Nice views. | rogreeves | 18/09/2023 |

Steep climb up but most of the scree can be avoided to the left. With Gavin Rees. A very long walk out back to the A846, initially on tough path less ground. | Dangerous Dave | 01/08/2021 |

The Paps with ger. | CJM | 13/09/2019 |
Superb Paps hill walk. Initially with Bolton & CJM, then with CJM to Beinn Shiantaidh, Beinn an Oir & Beinn a'Chaolais. Fine weather - a superb walk over fantastic quartzite hills. | ger | 13/09/2019 |
From Beinn an Oir after the steep descent and then equally steep climb to the summit. The Paps are nowhere near as difficult as I feared. Decided to head to the nearby SE Hump. | bolton | 13/09/2019 |

Cycled up tracks from Feolin to SW ridge. Ascended to a broad ledge at about 500m, then turned east along the ledge to bypass a steep scree section. Higher up there is more scree, nothing really serious but still uncomfortable in the strong wind. From the SW it is either a long walk in or a bike in, but the Chaolais-Oir ridge appeared to me to include steep and compulsory scree sections which I was unwilling to risk. | Topographer57 | 10/06/2019 |

7.35 ferry from Islay. Followed the standard walkhighlands Paps of Jura route. 7 hours 40 minutes, plenty of time for the ferry back. Weather played ball, dry, mild, almost calm, cloud just touching the tops occasionally. | Owen B | 20/08/2018 |
