From Craighouse, a very wet day indeed. On Langie Jura meet, but everyone else went for Sunday lunch instead. | Grinner | 30/04/2023 |
Jura fell race 2nd top. | Matt2901 | 28/05/2022 |
Recce of Jura fell race | Littledave | 27/05/2022 |
With Dave Roeder. From the graveyard (8:40), up the Druim Buidhe ridge and crossed the river at NR 51676 68929; not too difficult despite recent rain. Very cold and windy but dry. Followed deer tracks to steeper ground and thence to the summit. Visibility only fair. Returned same route; finished about 12:15. | dbb | 07/04/2022 |
Parked at the cemetery, beyond the deer gate. Round the back to a gate, across extension, through second gate. Muggins here then followed the river, then the fence, across horrible tussocky terrain, even worse on the descent to Bolton's river crossing. Fortunately, the ground is much easier on the other side plus first primroses. Easy to the top on deer tracks. Jaw-dropping views. Found a MUCH better route back. Deer track to and across very easy crossing at 511688, slight uphill then deer tracks down Druim Buidhe (friendly tussocks) to emerge on the track about 100m S of the path back into the cemetery by a turning area. No BWF at this point and very little dead bracken. | Gill | 31/03/2022 |
Evening walk up from the cemetery. Mainly grass and deer tracks, nice sunset view of the Paps. | N.Morters | 30/03/2022 |

With Bolton & CJM. From burial ground. Fine weather & fine hill. | ger | 14/09/2019 |
From the graveyard and behind the building at the top where the bracken is not too bad. Crossed the Uisge Dearg easily on large boulders at 690517. Windy, overcast but great views of the Irish coast. With Ger and CM. | bolton | 14/09/2019 |
Parked at graveyard. Up to track above graveyard, through bracken and onto top. With Bolton & ger. | CJM | 14/09/2019 |
From Keils cemetery. | Topographer57 | 12/06/2019 |
Afternoon walk. Out the back gate of the cemetery to avoid gorse, then onto a track which would be difficult in bracken season. Great views of the Paps from the summit. | NormanW | 23/04/2019 |
From A846 by Keils. Past the burial ground, then some very dense bracken. Uisge Dearg fast flowing and knee to thigh deep but mercifully narrow after heavy rain the previous night, managed to get across without drama after some consideration. Saw a short eared owl at close quarters hunting, landing about 20-30m from me then flying off into a stiff breeze. Then a straightforward steady plod with fantastic views of the Paps revealed at the top. Took a more southerly line on the descent to avoid the tricky stream crossing, much better, it also avoided most of the bracken. | Owen B | 24/08/2018 |
Early morning ascent after a very icy camp in Gleann Astaile. Excellent views back to the Paps | Colin Crawford | 01/04/2018 |
With DB, on round of the Paps + Glas Bheinn. | amswanston | 10/06/2017 |
2nd hill of 9 today and 2nd of this route from the Inver track to Craighouse climbing Aonach Bheinn then connecting ridge to this top climbing all boulders nearby. Great atmospheric pap views through mist and intermittent sunshine. Did not linger long due to winds. Descent towards Dubh Bheinn profiling around towards Nw top 1st. | Dazingdale | 03/06/2017 |
Traversed across from Beinn Mhearsamail. | Chris Peart | 10/05/2017 |
From the lovely cemetery above Craighouse. Up the track to right of parking and through gates. Break out onto open slopes heading direct for the summit. The burn ahead after the old deer fence can be tricky to cross unless you pick your spot. After that its follow deer tracks to gain summit slopes. Great viewpoint on top, our final Jura and Section 20 Marilyn. | nordicstar | 01/06/2016 |
Another lovely Jura top on a great day. Fairly easy across the moor before the climb up to the top. | jenx | 01/06/2016 |

Good parking at old burial ground at Keils. A rough walk in from there, boggy ground, not much in the way of a trail (couldn't call it a track). Once higher ground gained footing much better. Summit in cloud so didn't see much but cleared as we dropped down on way to Dubh Bhein. | jonglew | 09/06/2014 |
With Marcus on SIP Race. Shouldn't actually have climbed this summit but screwed up in thick mist. Hey ho. | Colinmac2005 | 18/05/2014 |
With Mora, from track starting at nr521662, a round of 3 humps. | BLACKHILL | 15/04/2014 |
With friend, from Jura Hotel where we were staying. Along road and to ancient settlement of Keils and ancient burial ground. Hoping to find footpath but only found odd bits of deer track. Underfoot conditions very wet and rough. Up broad east ridge of Glas Bheinn to its summit. Used track on the N side of Abhainn Mhic-ill Libhir for a better descent. Sunny day with excellent visibility. | pwbellarby | 07/05/2013 |

Left car at the Manse (B and B). Over the Minister's Burn to cemetery, over BWF to rough tussock and over brow to go through stone pillared gate in a cross fence, over side stream - both feet wet. Up onto long moorland trudge over tussock, onto footings of hill gaining height more rapidly to broad ridge on heather runs to a small bealach before clamber up into mist and to top at 11.30. No view - mist. 8' well built beehive cairn. | arranc | 04/05/2006 |
