8th top of 10 on a 21km traverse from Pant-glas to Carmel, continuing from Y Garn, descent on my bottom edging through the vegetation a bit at a time a bit further SE from the top as very steep and then into boulder field so headed Nw to reach safer ground and head down to climb over fence, cross road and them climb over gate to climb steadily to the top overlooking the reservoir. Continuation North to Clogwyngarreg...Dazingdale29/09/2023

Bagged Clogwyngarreg and Bryn Gwyn on the way back to Rhyd-Du from Mynydd Mawr. Access Land but gate to road is wrapped in barbed wire! Solo.Dangerous Dave23/04/2022
Parked at Llyn y Dywarchen, space for a few cars. Gate was locked so had to use the wall. Went to try Mynydd Mawr first but was a disaster. I was pinned to the top of Foel Rudd in a hail storm and strong winds. With my bottom half numb with cold, I had to crawl down because of the wind. Was worried about hypothermia but luckily if you keep moving when soaked you keep warm. It's all a learning experience. I tried for Clogwyngwyn but it's was too wet to scramble to the top as it's a very tricky hill from what I saw of it.Skarletk13/03/2022

On way down from Mynydd Mawr with Matt H. Descending the S side of Clogwynygarreg was steep but practicable; then an easy climb. Dropping directly to the SE involves a barbed wire fence. Room to park cars at the dam.Mark Jackson23/08/2016
Early morning yomp from the small carpark. Should have worn boots as the steep dewey grass slope was like ice in my old trainers. Clogwynygarreg afterwards.Herbert Anchovy03/06/2016

On own. Parked at Llyn y Dywarchen then up and over Bryn Gwyn and Clogwyngarreg (a cracking precipitous little mound) before heading for Mynydd Mawr. Hellish windy on the top of Mynydd Mawr. Same way back circling west of the two tumps.Crib Goch15/10/2014
