Approached from the East via RoW near Tyddyn-y-cyll Farm, then picked our way through bands of spiky vegetation and limestone bands to the summit ridge to N of Aerial. Summit area fairly level with short grass. Continued N along grassy ridge to quarry fence ( steep drop) then followed fence east ( to avoid thicky spiky veg on slopes- to join RoW to East. Subsequently realised -repeat ascent Dec 2009, with Marilyn. | Denise | 11/04/2022 |

Parked in Marian Cwm and used Offas Dyke Path to climb Marian Ffrith and take me half way to Y Foel before making it up as I went along. Y Foel is quite well defended by gorse and rocky outcrops but no problem finding a route through. Decended to road and walked back that way. | clivevilla | 28/03/2018 |

Parked on the minor roads near Marian Ffrith - took the track then out across the fields (weaving through the gorse to Moel Hirathog (old fort)climb towards the quarry edge then south and away to reach the summit. Grey cloud burst and string winds over the Clwydians blows the cobwebs away. | briandavies | 28/10/2015 |

Walked along the ridge and down the south side towards Cwm then joined Offa's Dyke trail near Bryn Cnewyllyn then the old railway line and finished back at Graig Fawr. Great little hill | GordonAdshead | 25/11/2014 |
I climbed this walk by starting in Prestatyn, staying at Plas Ifan i walked up on the Offas dyke trail and then took the Clywydian way to a minor road, turned right and then took the access land path up to the summit. There are lovely views over Westwards to Snowdonia. I walked along the top North and then took a very steep path down next to the fence separating the hill from the quarry. I took a minor road north in order to visit the nearby waterfall too. On the east side of this hill is Moel Hiraddig fort. | Dazingdale | 30/03/2013 |
Visited as a diversion from Offa'd Dyke Path. We came up the steep western slopes, rewarded with excellent views from the fort. Despite the quarry damage, the rampart round much of the fort is well preserved. | thesweetcheat | 08/05/2010 |
approached from N via fence to West of ridge | Denise | 27/12/2009 |
Chester Rambling Club party by train from Chester, alighting at Prestatyn. Walked up main street and across A547. Where road starts to go uphill took footpath SSW, gradually ascending hill.
