2nd of 7 hills on a 20km traverse from Dolbenmaen, after Craig Y Garn I headed North to Blwch Y Bedol following fp loosely NE to some stepping stones over a stream just NW of Foel and after stopping for a drink and food beside this I continued and just past there headed directly for the top, the knoll clearly being outside of the fenced area. Descent Sw back onto grassy track however this soon disappears and is supposed to head down into the woodland. I took the line of the path and found a stile in somebody's garden and then was on the track and footpath heading over the Afon Dwyfor, heading for Moel Isallt...Dazingdale25/09/2023

From SE, left car at phone box after Isallt; could have parked by road bridge to SE. Cut BM on old Chapel. Road, path thru farm and old quarry, pasture ridge to summit, knoll N side of fence. Cloud down but rain stopped, mild and breezy. Met farmer on way down, said 50mm rain since midnight. River in fine form.RHW10/06/2017
Early morning yomp using various paths and tracks heading up from the SE. Glorious autumn colours and views along Cwm Pennant, perhaps my favourite Welsh valley.Herbert Anchovy28/10/2015
