I parked near the road junction NNE of the hill, followed the Offa's Dyke path across the first field and then turned SW up the grassy/bracken slope to the hill's summit | johnbarnard25 | 14/02/2024 |
3rd of 8 hills today. After some food at Loggerheads cafe I headed up here via a steep narrow lane and then reversed car into area just to side of main path and near jct with another bridleway. From the Offas Dyke at field boundary a tree gives easy access over the fence and then I followed the fenceline up the grassy field and then stepped over where gnarly hawthorns made it easy to step over the fence. Straight up a trod and then into outer ramparts of what looks like a promontory fort. Obvious top with good views looking over to Moel Y Parc. Descended as per outward route. Next stop Bryn Golau... | Dazingdale | 28/01/2024 |

Parked at Pistyll to W, walked up steep road. Ignored f/p sign, continued another 100m up road to metal gate on right, then into field beyond. Up side of trees to another gate and soon the summit. Nice spot. | Aye Jimmy | 05/12/2017 |

I did the wrong F*******! Moel y Gaer ! I had planned to do the Hump with the same name a few miles away. When i pulled up to park I had my doubts about the amount of ascent, i left the map in the car and just went with nothing so couldn't check until i got back down.
Schoolboy error! | thenomad | 08/02/2017 |
Parked at crossroads 096714 next to bench, room for a few cars. Back down the road(Offa's Dyke Path)so approaching from North. One fence to cross-one panel without barbed wire which leads to obvious path to top. | Rob50 | 22/09/2016 |
From n, RoW to e side (maybe poss to park here also), RoW to s side, up thru bracken to grassy ridge, lovely summit | RHW | 20/12/2015 |
Staying in Bodfari so wandered up this lovely hill in the evening. | BigJ | 11/09/2015 |
From Bodfari. Parking tricky. No parking in church car park. Parked in front of the school (on a Sunday) at SJ 09162 70028 - room for one car. Took RoW by church car park into wood, out north-east over pasture to a broken fence by stile at SJ 09525 70554. Then steeply up though open woodland by a faint path, through bracken and gorse to open grassy summit. To return descended back to broken fence, then joined Offa's Dyke path down to lane, then back into Bodfari. No problems. | Man of Kernow1 | 17/05/2015 |
