Logged Descriptions  (logged by 31 users)ByDate of Ascent
Parked in layby just down from service station, headed to pub then took footpath through to large field. A detour guides you round the side of the field, that must have been a cornfield what with all the soggy cobs on the edge. Once close to the wood, I stepped over the fence (there is even a wee stile at this point) and climbed up to the top. A dead sheep lies close by, the highest point looks like some gravel has been dumped so I walked around the area. Rhododendrons are starting to gain in this area. Fairly easy at my time of visiting, back the same way. Off to do Pen Celeyn afterwards.Dazingdale11/02/2024

Parked in the pub car park, over the old bridge, through a wood then out into a pasture. Then followed the edge of the wood round and reentered the wood from the top edge. A lot of pheasant breeding stuff about.clivevilla08/12/2020

Parked in the pub car park at SJ 27684 60551. Took RoW track over bridge over R. Alyn and up past house, through wood and up to gate into sheep pasture. Crossed field to stile, then over gate into beech wood and up to summit amid rhodedendra. Returned the same way. Solo. Summit is in a pheasant hatchery wood, so normal issues may apply.Man of Kernow107/02/2016
