Footpath from lane to summit. | jrj | 16/09/2023 |
Used the footpath to the top, took about 8 minutes. Very muddy but lovely woods. | Skarletk | 18/05/2022 |

Revisited in passing to check summit location. 2 distinct summits. Mapped location 50m East of stone bench (52m spot ht is at SH 60493 44177) appears lower by 1-2m although would need survey to determine. OS contouring just shows E summit, presumably fooled by tree cover. With Ryan Smith en route to climbing at Tremadoc. Same parking spot as before. Path goes all the way to summit with final approach round N side; in descent we followed path SSW through wood visiting another bench, then walked back along road. | RHW | 20/09/2015 |
From SSW, parked by barn, up road, small path E to summit. Descended N along path which joins road a few m N of cottages, but no parking available on road thereabouts. After Fer-las. Subsequently noted that the 'summit bench' at SH 60453 44190 doesn't coincide with the 1:10,000 map 52m spot height (SH 60494 44177) which is 50m further ESE. Subsequent visit however suggests this W summit is indeed higher. | RHW | 13/09/2015 |
Parked near gateway to cottages to north from where there was a permissive path through the lovely bluebell wood most of the way to the top. Parking would probably be better at the end of the road by the railway line. I thought the highest point was marked by a long neglected slate bench. Picked up the path again to continue on to Ynys Fer-las. | Herbert Anchovy | 30/05/2015 |
