Bochel farm route.Path to the summit leaves behind an electricity pole at the northern end of the field with the transmitter.ARM17/02/2024
From Tombae car park past Tullich. Good track all the way then up through heather to summit. Back same way. Solo. Section 21 Marilyns now completed.Dangerous Dave27/10/2023
From east side at Bochel farm.vegibagger06/07/2023
Parked at end of a long passing place near entrance to Bochel farm. Track through farm continues E through woodland, then N along edge of said woodland and finally out on open heathery hillside where a narrow but well-defined track leads up to summit cairn. NB A shortcut through the farm via the point where the 2 plantations meet (at NJ 2364 2270) was thwarted by knee deep cattle mud n slurry and copious windthrow.jonglew19/03/2023
Parked just beyond track to Bochel farm. Through farm to gap in conifers. Unpleasant going through ground churned up by cattle and young plantation. Returned on path from summit to corner of wood and tracks via Badievochel, avoiding all bad ground.Galltywenallt23/02/2023
Carn Tullich, The Bochel and Carn na h-lolhaire from the Tombae CP. A mix of marked footpath, heather tramp and deer track.summitter11/02/2023
Layby NJ235221. NNE up track leading to gap in conifers. Hillside replanted with young trees. Can be avoided by using developing path from telegraph pole to NE (NJ 2389 2289). Distinct from NJ 23657 23022carole engel13/10/2022
circular from Bridge of TombeaBLACKHILL26/09/2021
Great circuit. Start at parking at Tombae and follow marked trail. Ascent by NE shoulder. Descent through heather SSE to pick up circuit again at the clear corner of two forestry plantations. Pleasant walk through forest, some road and footpath back to start.sarahk31/10/2020
From Car Park at Allanreid via Glack and stile in the corner of the field at 237237. From here a faint path is developing to the summit. It disappears in the heather higher up, but is clear on the summit ridge.Winterfloodian18/08/2020
Parked E of track for Bochel Farm. Walked to farm, through pasture with cattle shed, large herd of cattle in field, through second gate and left by side of plantation and to summit. Soft snow and ground thawing. Going through pasture and by plantation rutted by cattle, unpleasant going. Came back via path to corner of plantation by Badievochel and right down gap to track through wood to farm, much easier going underfoot than route up. High wind, light rain. Good views.CJM14/02/2020
After Ben Rinnes, before meeting Malky and Jackie. Out and back from car park. Rounsfell04/01/2020

From NJ234221 - parked at E end of long passing place. Up to Bochel Farm and then R on track through trees. On meeting pastures, L up corridor between trees and BWF of the pastures, to hidden gate on L. Through this gate, across 'The Bochel Way' and straight up - a path is forming in the upper all-heather zone. No gates to 'hop over', no barriers, no churned up stuff, straight forward.Isbjorn22/05/2019
Parked on side of road to south, along road towards farm followed track thro plantation acoss field to track to Badievochel. Where did the rock for the cairn come from? None in vicinity.rogreeves23/04/2019

Sunny but cool walk after parking in the Allanreid car park. Then returned over Carn Tullick.Dugswell206/10/2018
Up firebreak from west then through heather moor to summit cairncjo06/10/2018
A nice walk from 235222, good parking. Down to the bridge and up past Bochel farm. Hop the gate into the field and then the top gates onto open ground below the hill. Up directly on sheep tracks through well spaced escaped baby trees, then rough grass, then heather to the ridge where a small path leads to the top and then the cairn. Reversing this gives a quick easy descent, smooth ground, no hidden holes, few rocks. Superb views from the top and a grandstand view of the Ladder Hills on the way down. No forestry, no fences.Gill08/09/2018
Parked at lay-by 222 234, track on left, over the bridge and then straight up.Peterb03/05/2018

My 700th marilyn. An easy one from west starting at 223233. Onto the track, over the bridge, through a gate and immediately left up through mature forest and onto moss and short heather.Topographer5715/03/2014

Parked on quiet road at Bochel farm. Very young puppy at farm. On bridal path, through wood to open moor by cottage. Rising traverse to easy slopes and faint track on ridge to top on heathery dome at 13.15. Large cairn of big white boulders which must have been brought there in a truck!arranc26/07/2004
