Parked in an old picnic spot at Sheanspark, to the SE. Made a nice round of it clockwise following the wind farm tracks eventually coming out at the in - if you see what I mean. Then walked back along the road to the car. There’s only a short walk over the heather to the small summit cairn. With CJ.BigJ25/10/2020

From NJ365463 - large boulders have been placed to deter parking at wind farm access gates, plus 'no unauthorised access' signage. W up access track to T junction, L, then first R to T7, then 100m across moorland.Isbjorn22/05/2019

Heritage railway Dufftown to Drummuir then walk up roads and wind farm track to top near pylon 7. Wet and low cloud which matched the mood created by the wind farm although saw roe deer on way from station. Reversed route back after also doing Hill of Townie.trimarc213/05/2018
Parked in long passing place S of gates, then E on wind farm road.ger19/04/2018
2nd quickie dawn run. As others from the wind farm service road. Gate open but not chancing it given the number of service vehicles visiting the turbines. Misty and light drizzle, pity about the view could have saved this from being a dull track walk.N.Morters13/04/2018
Gates locked, so had to walk! 2nd of 7 today, on a lovely sunny day: Ben Aidan, Knockan, Meikle Balloch, Knock Hill, Fourman Hill, Hill of Tillymorgan, Hill of Foudland.PGCE20/02/2018
Used the wind farm access road as per previous mentions. Great views. With Sian and Ben.Peterb17/02/2018
An icy drive up the road to the windfarm track, but easy enough. The walk up the track is also very easy, despite a lot of ice. Head up to the ridge, turn left and take the right fork to Turbine 7. Previous walkers had been kind enough to break trail to the summit cairn, so I had no need to get my compass out in the mist. The mist kindly hid the turbines too, so it was a nicer walk than others imply. Mist cleared on the way down, giving good views if you ignore the turbines.Gill31/12/2017

Good walk past the impressive wind turbines. Thank God for the foresight of the SNP. Beats Chinese/French radiation any day! Path can be picked up to Drummuir and then back on the Hillhead of Towie signposted route. Lots of gorse and thistle across the path. Made it fun though.Motivation116/09/2016
Parked on east side of road behind large rock bollards at NJ366468. Ascended to summit via wind farm access tracks. Returned via same route. Boring - wish I had brought the bike to make it quicker!raffemeister20/04/2016

From the windfarm road junction at 365465 where you can park. Then follow the industrial estate road to turbine ?107 where you will find the small cairn. The future of hillwalking. I was inspected by a couple of 4wd drivers.Thearlaichdubh06/05/2014

Wind turbines galore, did it for the tick and to play amateur radio. Parked at NJ333472 at junction of farm access track. There is another route from the east which looks easier.sotabagger27/03/2012
Best way is to approach from the north, over mount pleasant. As the hill is now covered with loads of windmills you are kinda not seeing it until you get out of the forestry. Not an improvement those windmillstallblond21/11/2010
