As clivevilla. Parked in layby 70m or so SE of junction at 147075 - No access through gate on junction (construction; pipeline?) so went a short distance up lane to next gate & along edge of field, currently prepared for sowing, to pick up RoW - Up RoW, over bwf & across pasture to obvious summit by oak tree on edge of small quarry. | gerrybowes | 16/04/2023 |
Followed the non-existent ROW from the minor road to the NE. A couple of cow fields then a sheep paddock before entering Bonciau farmhouse. Met the farmer, who was not aware of the ROW through his yard, but had no objection to my presence. The summit just a little further up the hillside, besides some old farm machinery in an old small quarry. | summitter | 28/05/2022 |
Did this one from the west entering the pasture at the corner where the lane leaves the A458. It was a pleasant walk and, although you could probably make it easier, parking was easy and it was row all the way. | clivevilla | 28/02/2021 |
From ne via green lane, parking to west of cross roads. Hp is rocky edge of small pit. Also visited the 262m east summit | RHW | 26/03/2017 |
Bringing the bike up with me from the A458, via Hengwm, and then onwards to the lane eastnortheastwards, was maybe not the best idea but at least it was pretty quick. | Alex C | 24/01/2017 |
Parked at bottom of farm track. Contemplated open access but opted to follow fence on field side. Moo cows. Summit is quite likely missing..the whole top area has been carved out. That which remains has a gnarled branch pretty much on the highest point. | stig_nest | 25/04/2016 |
From SJ 16511 07754. Also visited SJ 15751 07286 - just in case. | summitsup | 16/02/2016 |
