Descended to Da Smaalie from Tounafield on Da Sneug, a few Bonxies circling, but not bothered, steep climb up to top. Clear sunny day with great views and plenty of time to spare before return flight at 16.45.PeterD12/05/2023

With KeithByTheC. 45 mins from airstrip to the summit, then straight down and onto Da Sneug.JulieB01/07/2021
From Foula airstrip. Along road to just before most westerly house. Up through field with Shetland Ponies, then in open country. KeithByTheC01/07/2021
From road end at S to road end at N, visiting Da Noup, Da Sneug & Da Kame. Da Sneug in mist with some excellent views through weather windows. Super cliff top location at Da Kame - even saw a Brocken Spectre. Boat trip to island was arranged by Alan H. A meal in the school hall was part of the day out along with transport to & from road ends.ger19/06/2019
With Campbell et al. Boat from Hamnavoe.jimbloomer19/06/2019
Steady climb up grass slopes. Hundreds of bonxies but not that belligerent. Great viewpoint on lovely morning after good crossing. Da Sneug still in mist.Campbell Singer19/06/2019
With seven others on a RHB away day.Chris Peart19/06/2019
Finally succeeded getting out to Foula today nearly 8 years after my previous attempt. Had a great day for it too and superb company into the bargain as well.Alex C19/06/2019
For place on a private charter with David McKintosh MacRobert from Dover, researching genealogy of his grandmother. Ken, who lives on the island, have! A lift to the start of the walk up Da Noupvegibagger29/05/2019
Flew in on the 10.15 flight from Tingwall which gives bags of time. North up the road, onto Da Nort Bank, and mobbed by ponies whilst eating early lunch. Up steeply but easily to Da Kame, and a fine promenade along to Da Sneug, Tounafield and Hamnafield. Down to Da Smaalie and up to Da Noup with wonderful cliff top views. Plenty of time to stroll down to the south light and Da Sooth Ness before the 16.45 flight.Gill24/08/2018
From Hamnafield to cliffs at HT 9520 3796, then steeply up the edge. On to the lighthouse before heading back to the airstrip.jonglew24/08/2018
Circuit of Da Sneug, down to Da Smaalie then up to Da Noup before earlier than planned return flight to Tingwall due to low cloud returningNormanW26/06/2018

Great day out from Tingwall. Early flight on a first misty day clearing to great sunshine. Da Noop, then Da Sneug and then Da Kame. Super curcuit of the isle taking in many features inc South Lighthouse, Da Sneck below Da Smaalie, chatting to peat cutters and visiting Ham and Da Toon. Lovely spot, a night over is called for!nordicstar07/06/2016
Loved everything about this trip.jenx07/06/2016
it was such a lovely evening- mild, still and clear that an evening walk was irresistable and magical.Denise 19/04/2016
From pier, hot and sunny, both marilyns, superb cliffs.iangalbraith26/08/2014
Shetland was being hit by the tailend of Hurricane Bertha and it was touch and go as to whether there'd be a flight today. Fortunately there was and I was rewarded by wonderful few hours exploring Foula and taking in the 2 Marilyns. Da Noup was clear but Da Sneug was shrouded in mist all day. Still got some great views of the cliffs and met some cute ponies. The Bonxies were continually dive-bombing me and had to protect myself by waving my walking poles. On the way back the pilot treated us to a close-up view of the seabirds on the cliffs. A surreal place and an unforgettable experience.AndrewFinnimore13/08/2014

Day flight from Tingwall. Up NW ridge from Da Smaalie, nice sunny and sheltered spot on seaward side of summit, down SE ridge to lighthouse to complete section 22 in six days.Topographer5729/05/2013
Direct route from ridge on Da Sneug, returning down easy angled slope to farm on road to airfieldButeobuteo29/05/2013
First hill of the day with Tricky.Dugswell228/05/2013
From the airstrip followed road to junction with Daal track and then picked a way through various gates on to the hill. Easy walking with lots of sea birds as company. Very friendly pony on the way down to Da Smaalie before heading off for Da SneugMartin R02/05/2012
Round of The Sneug and The Noup from Braidfit. Nice lady in Braidfit feeding stock. Kipped in chapel side room and flew out next morning rather than wait for incompetent, obnoxious boat crew.Eddie23/08/2011
from Sneug. Great skuas everywhere. Down grassy hillside to green corrie. Sneck o Smallie for lunch. Easily up on grass close by sheer cliffs. Puffin close by. To top at 13.45.arranc15/08/2003
The scramble down through the Sneck o da Smallie is a fun adventure. Once down below the cliffs the Greater bklack backed gulls weren't welcoming though.RHW08/08/2002
