Logged Descriptions  (logged by 6 users)ByDate of Ascent
The HP is definitely within the pine plantation west of the fence though hard to say where. We crawled in under low branches for c 25 m til we ceased ascending and reached a mossy knoll in the trees without any views. Snowy day; parked in layby at Derwenlas, then headed eastDenise 18/01/2023
From NNE, access land then fence along edge of forest. Summit is mossy rise in dense conifer plantation, possible to crawl under branches from bwf to East. No views.RichardM18/01/2023
My first tick, and very local to me, easy to find and get to just climb gate or fence into the trees. Walked up from Derwenlas and then joined the coastal path through the Llyfnant Valley.SwR2811/07/2020
Hopped the fence close to mapped spot but retreated after penetrating the initial line of close packed trees (snow cover badly obscuring the bramble ridden uneven terrain).Smudge18/03/2018
From ne, parking at top of public road, short steep grassy climb, then 40m fight thru prickly young spruce and bramble to outcrop in small heathery clearing, nice views of Tarrens while trees small.RHW08/04/2017
