I hadn't researched this hill and was expecting the normal fort which is a vegetation covered lump, imagine my surprise! I parked by a gate at SM 94705 06555 and took a track to the woodland edge. I then went anticlockwise around the fort edge past the given GR using field gates to a point just short of the trig where I entered the ramparts. According to GPS I was within 35M of the trig but had no idea where it was.DC11main22/08/2023

Deep ditch, so settled for highest point in perimeterGordonAdshead15/05/2018
Tricky one to determine precise HP, the internals have been completely overtaken by vegetation - bramble and thorn predominating. Is it in the fort, on the battlements, or somewhere outside? Bagged the trig pillar with a little difficulty and wandered around outside. Have to assume the HP was covered at some point.jonglew22/04/2016
