Easy up the slab to the west. There is a useful path direct from the coast path to Gatesholm Sound. With B and R.jenx15/09/2020
with Jenx and Bryher, tidal run up slabs on the eastnordicstar15/09/2020
Easy from the east up slabs and steep grass, bang on LW.AndyS03/07/2019
Steep crumbly cliffs on all sides. A dangerous scramble and not worth the risk. However, if you walk round to the eastern side there's a 45 degree rock slab that can easily be walked up which takes you to the grassy ridge! Very easy! Solo.Dangerous Dave16/08/2018
Gorgeous late pm ascent. Good path from Coast path down to beach. East side looks unpromising, went up West face from far end of grassy slope where grassy ledges are remains of old path as Adrian says. After first ledge, went straight up. Glad of my studded fell shoes in descent which is v steep! Left car park at low tide and had plenty of time, looks like about 2hrs available either side of low tide but no guarantees!RHW24/07/2016
Original path seems to have slipped into the sea, went right to just before a large Boulder then followed a line up the steep grass and to the flat area. Soon found the path. Cairn at summit at far end. Good flower cover.Adrian16/05/2016
Ascended on W side at slack water, probably not the best way to approach this scramble - head for heights a must as exposed drops to rocks below; descent definitely trickier. Long flatish summit plateau approx 550m; tussocky grass; faint path runs along centre of island, but potholed. Summit point at SW end.jonglew27/07/2014
