| Solo. Parked by road where wind farm track started. Could have driven further but didn’t want to take my wife’s car off-road. Stompted along to wind turbines, across the bog to summit via the tump en route and took a better line back. | Parked just before the gate on the windfarm road at 365338. From Beinn Mholach at 353359 where the windfarm access road ends did the 2 western Tumps before this Marilyn. Very dry and no wet feet! | With Beinn Bharabhais from the Pentland road bridge. Parked just west of the bridge as it was out for repair. Boggy up to the wind farm and took a more drier and westerly route back which ended up with a half mile walk on the Pentland road back to the car. | Start of windfarm road had open gate but loads of intimidating padlocks so I didn't risk it. Road from the east had a locked gate. After reaching the turbines took a fairly direct line across to the summit. Fortunately the ground had dried out a fair bit, otherwise it would have been torture as previous logs testify. | With Jenx from the wind farm access road. Now with a locked gate although may be possible to get around that via a new road up from the quarry to East not shown on map. A good trudge but once off the road not a pleasant walk. Linked the cols on way out and higher line on way back. Neither great lines after wet weather the day before. | An unpleasant hill. Dry moorland but tough going over peat cuttings, wet patches and tremblers and a lot of sponge grass. Very tiring. Green peat hags were irritating and tiring, involving retracing steps many times and leaps across gaps. A final drop down and toil over a valley to get onto final slopes with more hags and to top at 11.40. Much worse than Muirneag.
