Took the oft mentioned Windfarm track from the south to bag the five neighbourly hills of Beinn Chailein, Beinn a' Sgridhe, Beinn Bhearnach, Beinn Mholach and Beinn Bharabhais followed by Beinn Thulabaigh on the way back. Just under 3 hrs on a very hot and airless morning.summitter15/06/2023
From the westernmost turbine via Beinn Chailein and Beinn Bhearnach - easy after yesterday on Muirneag.Chris Peart31/05/2023

CW circuit of five hills (1 Ma, 4Tu). With D Dave. Beinn Chailein, Beinn a Sgridhe, Beinn Bhearnach, Beinn Mholach, Beinn Bharabhais. No props using service road & parking.ger15/09/2022
Parked on Pentland Road Windfarm at the T-junction between turbines 2 & 3. A circuit of 6 hills with Reg.Dangerous Dave15/09/2022
Up the wind farm track to turbines. Over rough ground to summit, return the same way.N.Morters14/09/2022
Along wind farm road to final turbine, then over Beinn Chailein and Beinn Bhearnach and onto summit.PaulineD13/09/2022
Parked at the wind farm. No off putting signage or gates which looked like they get locked. 3 hr round trip of the Marilyn and 4 Tumps. Very tussocky but not too boggy.govanah11/09/2022

Revisit. #4 of 6, from S, parked near end of wind farm road.RHW17/05/2022
Could easily have driven right to end of wind turbines and saved myself a couple of hours. Plenty of parking/turning space. Next time??nicolajane29/08/2021
Repeat ascent as easier to go over than around between Bhearnach and Bharabhais. Tussocky grass and peat hags, slow going on hot humid day but good viewsDenise 06/07/2021
Solo. Parked by road where wind farm track started. Could have driven further but didn’t want to take my wife’s car off-road. Stompted along to wind turbines, across the bog to summit via the tump en route and took a better line back. Going from furthest away turbine would have been much better than having gone from the second last one. Och well, bagged.assynt_bob25/09/2020

9k circuit from the westernmost turbine taking in 5 hills: Beinn Chailein -> Beinn a' Sgridhe -> Beinn Bearnach -> Beinn Mholach -> Beinn Bharabhais. Then back to turbine No.1 (or 6). Very rough and wet peat hag moorland.jonglew19/09/2019
From gate of Community windfarm. Round Beinn Liye then through the corrie to summit. Dry underfoot for the most part and not as boggy as I had been led to believe.NormanW06/05/2019
Via wind farm road, no gates so drove as far as Meannan. Hideous terrain, overcast, cold, cold wind, 2 showers, good views.iangalbraith05/05/2019
Via wind farm. Being Chailein, Bienn a Sgridhe, Beinn Bhearnach, Beinn Mholach & BeinnHulabaidh. A slog. With PMCJM16/07/2018
Parked just before the gate on the windfarm road at 365338. From Beinn Mholach at 353359 where the windfarm access road ends did the 2 western Tumps before this Marilyn. Very dry and no wet feet! Not recommended unless there has been a few weeks of dry weather! 4 hours and 25 minutes with the Tumps thrown in. With CM.bolton16/07/2018
With Beinn Bharabhais from the Pentland road bridge. Parked just west of the bridge as it was out for repair. Boggy up to the wind farm and took a more drier and westerly route back which ended up with a half mile walk on the Pentland road back to the car. A slog to the top but the views were fantastic on a hot and sunny day.Buck04/07/2018
Start of windfarm road had open gate but loads of intimidating padlocks so I didn't risk it. Road from the east had a locked gate. After reaching the turbines took a fairly direct line across to the summit. Fortunately the ground had dried out a fair bit, otherwise it would have been torture as previous logs testify. Total absence of ATV tracks but found some animal tracks which were useful. 4 hours there and back.AndrewFinnimore02/06/2018
Grim plod after the end of the windfarm track. Ground very boggy. Couldn't be bothered to do adjacent TuMPsThearlaichdubh11/06/2016
This was hard work, even with the help of the track for starters. The worst ground was straight after leaving the track up at the turbines. After that it improved to just be less haggy, but still boggy.jenx03/05/2016
With Jenx from the wind farm access road. Now with a locked gate although may be possible to get around that via a new road up from the quarry to East not shown on map. A good trudge but once off the road not a pleasant walk. Linked the cols on way out and higher line on way back. Neither great lines after wet weather the day before. Onto Muirneag in afternoon for an even bigger slog.nordicstar03/05/2016
With Beinn Bharabhais from the Pentland road junctionjimbloomer02/05/2016
Easy walk along wind farm track, difficult and slow thereafter over soft, boggy broken moor.dandaran06/03/2016
A quick up and down late in the day after the more arduous Muirneag. Drove up wind farm track, no apparent objection and all gates open, so no need for wet feet.Topographer5713/09/2015
Bagged from the SSW road between the two bridges and taking in a TuMP on the way there plus one on the way back with Martin Richardson.Dugswell215/09/2013

With Mora, from the minor road to south.BLACKHILL05/06/2012
An unpleasant hill. Dry moorland but tough going over peat cuttings, wet patches and tremblers and a lot of sponge grass. Very tiring. Green peat hags were irritating and tiring, involving retracing steps many times and leaps across gaps. A final drop down and toil over a valley to get onto final slopes with more hags and to top at 11.40. Much worse than Muirneag. Fifth set at Wimbledon finished 70-68, itself exceeding the previous longest match!arranc24/06/2010
